"We stayed nearby, and this was recommended to us. It was a great recommendation! We had dinner here every night. You can see that it's a good place by how popular it is, so I recommend booking if you're not going early. The pizza was great, and I wanted to eat some on the first night. The smell of pizza was everywhere. I also had a regular meat the next evening, and that was great as well. The Aperol Spritz was a bit strong. One thing to note would be that sometimes we felt a bit ignored. They are very busy, but it was hard to get the waiter's attention sometimes."

"In reality this is close to a campsite and a hotel, but it felt like we were eating with locals as everyone around us was Italian. Now I must say that my wife is Italian (from Le Marche) and so we are a bit critical when it comes to selecting between tourist food and food that locals would eat. We (a group of 9) dropped in on this place a little late when driving back from Perugia to Le Marche for lunch. The owner was wonderful, no problem, we can serve you and everyone in the party (a mixture of Brits, Canadians and Italians) was very happy with their choice. A good variety of local dishes and many you would probably recognise if you do frequent Italy or Italian food, all cooked very well. The only reason it didnt get 5* was because I always need to hold something back for that time you come across something that is not just great but amazing!... I would certainly recommend."

"Absolutely fantastic meal this evening with friends. I asked for a terrace table but because of the downpour of rain, we were seated inside with no problems at all. For the wine, I highly recommend the Romanelli Montefalco Rosso. Delicious. Love that they have an Italian and English menu. The service was impeccable, and of course, the food was delicious. I ordered the beef tartare and the roast lamb. Highly recommend. Thank you Morena. Remember me because I'll definitely be back!"

"We were staying in SMA during our three day visit to Assisi and happened upon this place as we walked back to our hotel. When we arrived, it was full of locals and we thought we would take a chance to eat there. In the end it was one of our best decisions throughout the trip. The husband and wife owners are from Naples and the food they offer was exceptional and reasonable. We had pizza and a calzone and both were rich with flavor and made with fresh ingredients. More than enough to eat and add wine to the meal and it was exceptional. Better yet, it was the least expensive meal we had while visiting and by far, the best tasting. Add to this the service which made us feel like family and the homey feeling as everyone greeted you as though you were a neighbor. Whether you stay in Assisi or in SMA, this place has to be on your list of places to eat at while in the area! You will not regret it."
