"Is one of those places where, while being the dishes small portions, I would always gladly return, both for the friendliness of the staff, and for the particularity of the dishes and the kitchen itself! seasonally changing menu, sometimes even depending on the raw material, giving uniqueness to all portions. I've never been ill, and I've always enjoyed the particular beers that were offered to me!"

"An excellent all-round experience: delicious and interesting food, regionally inspired, with attentive professional service. We had a free introductory glass of sparkling wine, interesting nibbles, a starter of some kind of ground meat wrapped in Savoy cabbage leaf on a bed of delicate polenta, beef with shaved truffles and veg, and zabaglione chocolate mousse, coffee, and filled pastries as a final offering. The folklore behind the title of the restaurant we found really interesting, and we pored over the poem in Bergamask with an Italian translation: it's worth asking for the Italian menu even if you want the English one as well, as it contains lots of information on the background. Good value for money."

"We were walking up into the old town when we noticed this and were lucky enough to get a table. The lady we chatted to was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Our food was fantastic! I had the beef cheek with polenta. I love beef brisket and this was similar and yet subtly different. Wonderful. It didn't look much on the plate but I had difficulty finishing the side salad (lovely and fresh) I'd ordered as well. My husband had the pulled sheep. This came as a beautifully arranged set of tiny open sandwich style things on what he said was rye bread, and the spicing here was zingy and fresh. He had the beans as a side. I think these were maybe haricot beans, braised in a vegetable stock we could see celery and carrots there. I need to learn how to make this at home. We both pinched a bit of each other's to try. Another reviewer said their bread was stale. Ours wasn't, but we have noticed this occasionally at evening meals in other restaurants this week, and we were here at lunchtime. All our bread was used in cleaning our plates. There were breadsticks too, but my husband ate them all before I had a chance to try one. Coffee afterwards was an espresso in a beautiful cup and saucer served with petits fours. As we staggered happily away up the hill, we felt very well fed and glad that we'd found this restaurant."

"Eating is really good! also the service was excellent and eating in the weings had a great atmosphere. I recommend it here definitiw. the prices are in order, but perhaps a bit too high, but I guess these are average prices for such a tourist opposite in bergamo, so its still recommend when in bergamo"
