"A little ray of sunshine has burst through the concrete brutalism of Australia Square. Its warmth can be felt in the greeting of Kate McMahon, who brings her expertise and a martini) from Catalina. Tim Holmes à Court and Daimon Downey, the other two owners, get their own nod on the cocktail list, in the form of a well-balanced Pelicano Martini $18) . Though, if you ask me, nothing washes away the workday quite like a Negroni $16) . Chef Peter Streckfuss, also exported from Catalina , dishes up a short menu of simple Italian food using premium ingredients. Pasta portion sizes, like Lasagna Di Carne $24) , seem geared towards ensuring the predominantly female audience get to eat dessert. And Ilaria’s Ricotta Cake $14) is certainly a nice way to finish, though perhaps with less of the intensely sweet, floral honey topping. While the wine list has bottles available for around forty bucks, splash out on the 2011 Giant Steps Arthurs Creek Chardonnay $80/bottle) . It’s a real star, particularly when taken al fresco, sitting under a lemon tree, on a gloriously balmy night. It’ll suit Sydney Rock Oysters $4.50/each) or stand up to... ...their shared boards of Antipasti $16/person) , won by perfectly ripe Testun di Barolo cheese. Veal Milanese $34) will help address any larger appetites. The Lemon Tree Australia Square Piazza, Corner Pitt and Bond Streets, Sydney Ph: 02) 9241 1685"

"They serve decent pasta, but it's overpriced for a fairly small meal to start with. Ask for mushroom or veggies as extras otherwise you'll just get pasta and sauce."

"Completely affordable prices for decently sized drinks around $7 each)! You'll find friendly staff and a great place for conversations as it is not too loud, but best of all you'll find possibly the most comfortable couches of all time! Would come here again anytime!"

"Friendly eatery that has a nice balance between classic pub and modern bar. Food is decent as expected and live music is a definite plus, considering it's dying out in the CBD."

"Came here for lunch with a work colleague. It is located in Macquarie Street and enter this underground restaurant over the stairs away from the road. It was a hot day and they had a big fan to cool the customers, and also devastations with all menus that were not depressed The service is very friendly and the waitress that makes a good job to the side / decisions as well as desserts for sale. Grief Grief We were connected to try out the Focaccia pizza to start while we have decided for our network. The pizza was crispy and delicious. I had the Lamm Ragu, who came with penne pasta. The lamb was so tender and enamel in the mouth. The court was a bit salty, but it was okay after eating it again and again. My colleague got the Lasagne Al Forno. It was delicious and had a beautiful aroma with beautiful layers. We were completed with Banoffee-Torta with large banana layers, caramel and cream. The base was crispy and had a big taste. The lemon sorbet was served directly from the tub, but he was refreshing."
