"A bunch of colleauges and I ended up at this restaurant by the lake in Friedrichshafen because we were a big group and had not reserved a table for our dinner, and this was the only place that was not full on a Friday night. It would not be my first choice if I was in the area again, because the place is a little cheesy and lacking of personality; however, the quality of their beef was surprisingly good considering how the restaurant looks (pretty touristy and more like a bar). The meat was cooked to perfection and according to our request. It was served nicely and accompained by fresh vegetables and a tasty tomato bruschetta. Wine selection is also good. Our waitress was very friendly and competent (a tall blond girl); another one who helped her serving us had no clue whatsoever what she was serving us. Perhaps she was new. The price was fair. All in all, a nice surprise. The menu is pretty small: salad, meat and ice cream. If you like beef and are not looking for a fancy place, you may want to consider this place."

"If you’re staying at the nearby Holiday Inn, this is the best and only choice in walking distance. I had been here a couple of years ago and it was OK, now there seem to be new owners and the food was exactly what we...needed on these freezing days. The “Zwiebelrostbraten”, a steak with fried onions on top was really nice. Even the pizzas that walked past us looked like in Italy and we almost were tempted to try one. I noticed some Italian guests having them, and they definitely would not have ordered them here in Germany without a reason. The staff friendly; the only thing we didn’t like was the smell of the cleaning liquid used for the place. It stunk when we went in and our cloths smelled of it when we walked out. Perhaps spend a thought, and look at different options if I may suggest"
