"We ordered rouladen take out from Sauters Inn a few weeks back for my father-in-laws birthday dinner. This is the BEST rouladen we have ever had. My father-in-law says it was comparable to his German family’s recipe and was thrilled he can enjoy this...dish again. This restaurant is a hidden gem, we will be returning for sure."

"Well, I have been to Rum Diaries a few times a month for a year now - its local for me - so time for an update.Plenty of opinions. I will try and approach my review differently, to let you know how to best use this place. From there you can give it a shot and see what you think. Fair?The best night I recommend you give a try is on a Thursday to start. You have 1/2 price Rum Cocktails on Thursdays from 6-8. I have attached the menu. I must say Carribean Restuarant or otherwise, they do a pretty good job of supplying an interesting Drink Menu. They use a variety of Rums, and I say they make a good drink. If you have a date, I recommend you try one of their Martini's - Caramel Martini, Pina Colada Martini, or if you want to clear your sinuses with a kick try a drink with some Ginger in it :) What makes Thursday a particularly good date night as well is half price apps (the wings do well, they have a good cajun dry rub). If you make it to about 8:30, the specials are done, but they have Live Entertainment that I would describe as good, not over the top loud, just nice mellow vibe. So, half price drinks, half price apps, and a calm vibe of Entertainment.The other night to try is on a Saturday. They have a consistent party every Saturday - RnB, Soca, Reggae. DJ Smooth B and rotating DJs. They have these nice huge heat lamps outside as a summer bonus.There are many options across Toronto, but if you compare the effort, Rum Diaries compares well. 3 things to look for music, atmosphere, and drinks. I strongly recommend you start with a Thursday first (take a date). If you like what they are doing there (I do), check it out on a Saturday.Write back here what you think."

"I popped in today because I was craving Pho and new to the durham area. Off the bat I was greeted very warmly. The ladies there are really kind, personable and welcoming. I ordered a #1 House Special and fried spring rolls. Quick service, Yummy food, and I will come back again."

"Love all the Indian vegetarian food options available on the menu.We have ordered and loved: the gluten free dosa the paper dosa the masala dosa the onion bhaji the idli the filter coffee the sheera with puri (they need to make this a dish)Service has always been attentive, helpful and quick. We have never had to wait very long for a table but on busy weekends and certain holidays they can get quite packed. Food came out at a quick pace which was a nice surprise even though they were quite busy the first time we visited. We have been back once more since.The restaurant could use a facelift but when the food satisfies that south Indian food craving you don't pay much attention to it.This is a vegetarian restaurant and makes for a good meal when you have had too much meat in your diet!Worth a stop in on your journey through Indian foods in Ajax, ON.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free dosa is available"

"We came here for a friend's surprise birthday. The party organizer called the restaurant ahead of time and got to come in early and have our little corner decorated. Always loved their warm house bread and butter and filling ourselves up. 2 of my favorite menu items that I have in the pictures below are the creamy gnocchi with spinach and crispy shallots and the funghi pizza. I always ask for the extra sauce to dip the bread in after and clean it up. Overall food was great and do check out their other menu items like the fungi pasta.Vegetarian options: I've been here when I was vegan. They have a nice vegan menu offered, and it wasn't that bad. They should definitely expand a bit to add more options into their pasta side.Parking: There is parking available as it is in the plaza. It's not really crowded, but there might be a small walk to the restaurant if anythingWheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is located on the ground floor and there is wheelchair parking available."

"Had the complete chicken dinner, with rice, salad and potatoes and the portions were not only generous, but the quality was very good. The potatoes were not too hard and not too soft and were excellent. Right with rice and salad very delicious.... As for chicken it was moist, well marinated and a decent size. Another very important topic was the temperature of the food, it was hot as it should be. Nothing is worse than a warm or cold meal. Customer service was very polite and professional. You pay a little more, but you get so much more. The facility was also very clean and had a nice ambience, Will definitely back."
