"From the atmosphere to the service this is by far the best eating experience I had while staying in Amberg. It is a bit more expensive than most restaurants in the area but well worth it. It would be a great place to celebrate an anniversary or take someone special."

"At short notice we decided to go after a long and exhausting working day to eat instead of cooking at home. in piccolo mondo I wanted to invite the people for a long time to ask if a place is to have, he was and went. already at the entrance very friendly reception, despite reservation we would choose a table. the tables are all beautiful covered with white table runners in the middle and bordeaux red serviettes. the cards came fast, the still very young operation took up the drinks and asked us about our desire at the chefin. everyone starts new, that is not a negative critique. Drinks, appetizers and main dish came after a pleasant waiting period, in between was not asked, but if I wanted something else, I would have noticed. already at the door we had discovered the plaque that there are fresh whispers. that was our common appetizer. large mosquitoes in white wine sauce, with a small on the side and small rolls (of which I would have eaten more). the mush very tasty. the soße should have been a little sharper. but not everyone eats sharp, so it's okay. to the main course we decided to spaghetti in brighter sawnesauce (actually very light, very good) with summer truffle and spaghetti aglio olio e peperoncino to spaghetti. the truffles were distributed in sufficient quantity over the spaghetti, certainly enriched with truffle oil. my aglio olio would have worn a little more peperoncino, but as already said, not everyone would like to eat sharply. if I order a sharp court, I would like to have it. but otherwise very good, just a little too rough, because I don't like to touch it, and nobody likes to talk to me today. after that we were tired, we were no longer interested in dessert, our wein, and that was the ambiente more cozy, clear dining room, no unnecessary deco. comfortable chairs and benches, sufficiently large tables."

"Had dinner with colleagues, of whom three could speak and translate German. I had a black shoulder with crispy skin. the colleagues had rump steak with a mountain of tweebel rings, a lever soup and headway of schinitzel. all said good things. that was gloomy. a very large pannacotta with a sea of strawberries and two tasty whipped cream. I've got to burst. no English menu."

"Location Amberg is a beautiful historical old town. Beginning in the parking lot at the Kurfürstenbad, a walk along the river Vils and directly into the government district and the Taverne Syrtaki. Ambiente The first taverna since 1994. From the outside, the premises inside are very large, with a space for another 30 people. In the courtyard there is a cozy beer garden which we visited at noon. In the evening we had reserved and were assigned a table in two for 4 people. The tables are bare and dark with a small runner, which is embroidered with two syrta-kitchen (the motto of the tavern . The chairs and benches are covered with dark blue leather. The window benches decorate numerous single-sheet plants in planting pots. The walls are decorated with Greek pictures, the two sysrta-kitchens and reliefs. Service The team has rejuvenated since our last visit. Friendly and courteous we were served. Before that there was an ouzo on the house. As an appetizer we decided this evening for the Peperoni (wasm with Tzatzki (5,50€). Peperoni were not grilled but heated in a pan with olive oil. Then we looked for the Sporades fish plate (15,50€ and the baby calamari (15,50€). Previously the two supplemental salads came. A mixed salad with plenty of onions. The fish plate was equipped with sollen fillet, 4 shrimps and rice. Tastefully perfect. The same also happened to the buttery baby calamaris with rice, which we had already been able to enjoy in a small form from the lunch card (9,50 €). The second lunch was the tender Souvlaki meal (7.50€ with rice and salad). Conclusion: In Syrtaki you could easily dare a joystick because of the good food"
