"My husband and I noticed this place on our way to the West End markets. The fun name caught our attention right away!! On the way home we decided to pop in and check it out. Despite the unusual location and slightly too dim insides, there was plenty to like! A good seclection of craft beer, but also had a couple of traditional beers in the fridge for the less adventurous (thats me). The bar is very spacious too, with a large bench out the front that runs the entire length of the place if you want to enjoy some sun and 'people watch".Staff were super friendly and keen to have a chat about the different beers etc. We didnt eat, but the menu did look fantastic! Really top tier, good seasonal ingredients etc. The dessert looked especially decadent so I will certainly be going back to try it. I would recommend this place though I think some music would liven it up a bit. I like that they have a bathroom for everyone. Not gender specific. There was lovely smelling soap and a scented candle in there so that was nice."

"Making an impromptu stop at the bar, we stepped in to receive a hearty welcome and the offer of drinks and a table almost immediately. The bar staff could not do enough to help and were full of smiles and conversation. Drinks were cold and normally priced. A selection of thai-themed snacks were available to choose from or a full menu if wanted. We ordered some spring rolls and chicken satay skewers and were happy with what we received and the time taken to prepare. Wait staff were not as bubbly or 'engaged' as the bar staff. The bar and restaurant is very open to the winter cold, so recommend a jacket if you are visiting in the colder months.Overall a nice visit and would go back for a cold Singha anytime."

"Diana. What a friendly & obliging cook/waitress at Red Emperor. Also what a place for value & absolutely melt in the mouth fish served in mega portions with chips that aren't swimming in grease. You can pick up fish chips & salad here for $10, now that is a bargain. Especially when its simple food served fresh with a smile.<br>

30/10 /15 Had a return visit needed to check out the quality after reading previous reviews. We ate the food there & the batter was seriously light & crispy & the cod just melted exactly like the first visit. Have been to The Fishmongers Wife & find the fish equally as good here & a lot cheaper!!"
