"We were only in Koblenz for night so we asked at our hotel for a recommendation for good German food. We were given several choices but told that SauBar is where the locals go and is the best. The restaurant sits back from a...main square which made the Biergarten quiet and inviting. We chose to sit outside which was very relaxing. The service was great with a friendly waitress who was always timely. The outside tables have large umbrellas which came in very handy when it started to sprinkle and then rain. This did NOT dampen our mood or our meal. We both ordered the Schnitzel which was excellent!!! A very memorable meal and evening. Hope someday to be able to return. Well worth flying to Europe for"

"This place is absolutely great. On a scale of to ... I would rate this restaurant to be a solid The service is great, the wine is very good, the food (flavour) is authentic Italian and the price is suited for the...family (so bring the kids). My recommendation is to get the spaghetti which is mixed directly in front of you in a large, Parmesan Cheese. I can only describe it as being SEXY NOTE: They don't always have this menu item available since it depends on the availability of the giant wheel of Parmesan Cheese. This is a family business from a family who knows how to do good business. You can not go wrong eating here. However, you can go wrong by not eating here because you'd be missing the best Italian Restaurant in Koblenz (and maybe Germany)."

"We were welcomed by very helpful staff, who provided us with a cool table during a 40°C summer day. The staff was fluent in German and Italian, but also helped us out in English. The bruschetta (fresh, juicy tomatoes on excellent pizza dough) was a refreshing appetizer, the Aqua panna was pleasantly chilled and the pizza's were generously topped. Our requests for additional rucola and cheese on the pasta were met without any concern or hesitation. The service was swiftly and the atmosphere was friendly. Our leftovers were packaged so we could enjoy a delicious snack the following day. Excellent alternative for the more busy and turistic restaurants in the altstad across the river. They also provide take away."

"That is worth waiting! everything is freshly prepared and tastes super-lecker. Salad and pide are a dream! the brot, which is served for salad, is still warm and refined with garlic and oil and seasoned – simply delicious. the owner is incredibly nice (and formed – ask them! and annoying. often they can take a look into the kitchen when they go in or out: super clean. a small minus: check out the unauthenticated appetizer cards! otherwise the last ne mega surprise for koblenz! a must put for all in coblenz on good quality and cozy atmosphere."

"My family and I were staying in Koblenz. We were in the mood for Italian and asked our hotel staff for a recommendation. Il Mulino was the very first thing they suggested. The menu is typical of Italian restaurants you'll find in Germany . . . mostly pizzas and pastas, and a few salads. We shared some salad and a pizza and a bottle of red wine. The food was perfect - even the salad had the right mix of oil and vinegar - the prices were right and the proprietor - a very nice woman who is originally from the UK - personally provided excellent service and hospitality herself. The only draw back was that some of the dessert options were not available but this didn't bother us because we had a back-up plan. We highly recommend this place and would definitely go back next time we find ourselves in Koblenz."

"I had noodles with some sweet and tofu. they are not on the menu, but I wanted to fill a little quick. the food arrived under 10 minutes, so it worked very well. they tasted okay, but nothing special. the price was 4.90, which is quite cheap nowadays. good location near the main railway station, but nothing I would try for just eating."
