"Service was good. Food was copious and generally tasty, but we had a variety of beef plates and all were a bit overcooked for my taste medium well vs medium rare. Rather loud construction going on in the adjacent mall was distracting. But overall, a nice restaurant. A Mexican produced Bordeaux style wine and Nebbiolo were very positive surprises, as I was previously unfamiliar with Mexican wines."

"Vespaio is always a good choice when attending something at Disney Hall or the rest of the Music Center. The menu is interesting and the food is always good if not exceptional. What is on issue is the service which can vary radically from one visit to the next. When it is good it is excellent, when not good it can be rather bad. On our most recent visit my companion ordered a glass of prosecco at the outset. It was delivered half an hour later, after I had finished my bowl of soup appetizer. After complaining he was eventually comped for it but one's meal shouldn't be ruined by such lack of service. His entree arrived about minutes before mine as well. All very strange as the waiter could not have been more personable and pleasant. I hasten to add this is not a common experience but it, or similar, has occurred more than once"

"Horrific experience, very disappointed by the staff. Our reservation was once we checked in we were told to minute wait. After hour minute wait, over customers were ordered to leave the establishment because they could not serve us due to over reserving people. Manager was horrible by yelling at people to leave the establishment. I have never been treated this horrific by any staff in the county of Los Angeles, let alone downtown L.A. entertainment district"
