"When you’re in Mankato or Madison Lake, do yourself a favor and come here for dinner. The whole time I was here, all the bar, grills and restaurants served nothing put high fat, high cholesterol, awful food. Not a salad or veggie in site. Finally found this place. Thank god. It was awesome. I was with 5 of my friends and we raved the whole time. We ate at the bar, because we didn’t make a res on Saturday night( my bad). Bar tender took great care of us. This place is awesome, fresh food in a sea of boxed Kraft Mac and cheese. No lie, that’s what they serve around here for side dishes. Not Pappageorge’s. They are the really deal"

"I recently tried this place after two Locals gave me the thumbs up as one of the better Mankato eateries. I'd called several days in advance for a reservation and mentioned it was a birthday celebration and preferred a quiet table setting. Upon arrival, the hostess tried to initially give us a high table and chairs adjacent to the bar in sort of a noisy, active area. I requested a switch to a visibly empty booth by a window and was eventually accommodated after some back and forth discussion. Our server was generally efficient and cordial but not unusually pleasant or personable. We like the soup offering, the main courses ordered were just average. The dessert we ordered was above average. The atmosphere and overall decor and fixtures at the restaurant were pleasant but nothing really special. The bottom line for me was that it was an average visit with respect to quality, but a somewhat below average quality/value proposition given the dollars spent. I wouldn't say I'd never return but would likely try alternative Mankato food offerings on a subsequent visit to town."

"This place is so COOL. The vibe inside is awesome. The Greek music was a nice touch, not overwhelming, but I found myself dancing in my chair a bit. The bar seating was unexpected, and they have TVs too so you can hang out and watch a game. The food is fantastic! We had the sampler appetizer so we could try everything, and then I had the gyro pita with Greek salad and rice for my meal. The portions are large, and it was all SO GOOD I couldn't stop eating it. I'm still dreaming of the next time I can get another gyro, and they sell the salad dressing in a bottle too, so I'm definitely taking some home next time!"

"Tried to call to ask a simple question about the menu before we arrived… but it seemed like we were getting hung up on. We ended up walking into the restaurant to ask the question. While we were standing there, we called again… the phone rang and forsure they hung up. The restaurant was not busy at all. Makes me sad bc I enjoy the atmosphere but not sure if I’ll go back after this experience"

"The food we got tonight was very bad! Probably the worst we ever had. The chicken was very slimy, fries were soggy, and the burger was wrong. The onions had a rotten smell to them. Very disappointed because this place used to be good. The best part? The manager didn?t seem to care about the quality of food. Won?t be going here again."
