"We were loyal customers to New West Garden (over 25 years) so were sad it was now a different owner. BUT we've ordered here a few times now, and are so happy it seems to be the same quality as it was.We like this particular Chinese food restaurant because it isn't greasy. The food seems fresh, everything in our dinner for 4 order (delivered) was above expectation in quantity and taste.We've also ordered the combination meals (one dish with 2-3 different foods in it) and have been happy with them.If I were to complain, I would question why the 10% off pickup orders doesn't apply to the combination or value meals. It's for this reason that we have it delivered, as there's no savings for us to drive out to pick up. They announce in huge letters on their flyer that the delivery is FREE, so we thank the driver and take our order. We probably wouldn't dine-in here, it's kind of like a fishbowl with customers coming through picking up orders, but it's typical of a small restaurant.The staff is always friendly, and the food is excellent by our standards (we like basic food.) Definitely recommend this restaurant to others."

"As we have been disappointed with many Mexican restaurants in Vancouver, we decided to give this a try hoping for some miracle. It has a nice ambiance and great decor with Mexican inspired art hung up all over the place. Service was fine though the waiter did not seem to be very talkative or informative. Perhaps he was not well versed in English. Anyway he did recommend the Enmoladas which we thought was superb. This is 3 rolled up tortillas filled with chicken and topped with an excellent mole sauce ($12.50) and rice on the side. We also ordered the Enchiladas Verdes which are 3 chicken filled tortillas topped with green tomatillo sauce and a small dish of black beans on the side. This I thought was seriously lacking in flavour and quite disappointing ($10.50). We also found the tortillas to be a bit chewy. As in most Mexican restaurants in Vancouver the portions are small and the prices are a little too high."
