"I ordered through Doordash and I was disappointed. The gumbo portion size was extremely small for $10. We’ve dined in before and the portion size of the gumbo was much larger, not sure why a to-go order would be different. The rice was uncooked and so hard. My boyfriend ate it but it was inedible to me. The pistolettes were good but I’d say they’re overpriced as well."

"Put simply: good stuff, Mater! We have eaten here a few times now and have enjoyed it. The atmosphere is fun casual and they have a full bar and stage. The fried ribs are the best, but the shrimp is quite good as well. The Cajun seasoning is yummy. Our group really likes the fried green tomatoes as well. If you haven't been you should give it a try."

"I would give 3stars because the wait is so long, they were busy, the waitress was friendly, but it took over a hour to get our food at a seated table, BUT the food (fried shrimp fish, shrimp fried rice, boiled shrimp with seafood glaze crawfish was so GOOD. This is the only place in Port Arthur I get my seafood from, I think I’ve been here like 4days in a row"
