"We were a group of 4. We had a wait of about 30 minutes which wasn't so bad as it was the First Friday of the month where everyone seems to come out for.We ordered the brushetta to share. It took over 30 minutes for it to arrive. It was good, warm, but very simple for what we paid.Three of us ordered the fish of the day special which was Panko Crusted Halibut with two shrimp. It came with your choice of garlic mashed potatoes or baked potato and veggies. Our server recommended the garlic mashed potatoes. The other person in our party ordered the roast beef sandwich with soup.When our main dishes finally arrived. Those of us who ordered the Halibut only had one shrimp with the meal. The sauce they put in the mashed potatoes was cold so it made the potatoes cold. There was a total 4 pieces of veggies on the plate which were also cold.But because we were all starving at this point we ate. Was it worth $23 a plate? Definitely not! Yes we could have sent it back but based on how busy they were I was afraid it would take another 45 mins!The service was ok. There were only 2 girls working and the placed was slammed.All in all I would find another option for dinner before going here again."

"Oh my god this place has not only the best burgers but the best food and staff in any restaurant I've ever eaten in!! If your ever in Sarnia make sure to eat here, and if the Maui Wowie burger is on offer make sure to try it!!! Pepper jack cheese, pineapple and hot peppers on a homemade hamburger with a toasted bun!!!!! To die for!!"

"Casual is a misnomer as this restaurant is elegant in ambience and cuisine. Olives is perfect for ladies lunch, business meeting, romantic soirée or anything in between. We tried a chicken crepe dish and the phillo wrapped salmon but the true stars were the desserts. The bread pudding is a distinguished creation and the hazelnut meringue liegeois is nothing short of titillating. This is a must visit restaurant."

"We have been using this restaurant for group dinner for several years now. The food is good but the last couple times there it has been just average. The food quality is good but not much has changed over the last few years (menu-wise). Most times we are getting surf and turf with the group. The appetizers are good and tasty."

"My first visit to brownstones was not a good one. My main compliant was with the kids menu. The place seems fun and all of the adult apps and entrees we ordered were just okay. However, My 5 year old son ordered a fun colour changing drink and pogo sticks and I had some major issues. The colour changing drink is gross. I don't think they've tasted what they are serving. I get the concept but maybe instead of club soda, use sprite or something. Also, it was just orange. The whole time. No change. Perhaps have 2 colours of cubes. Like yellow and blue. Anyways, it was a waste of money and undrinkable. Then, the pogo sticks were cold. Like, not reheated, straight out of the fridge cold. It was a bit concerning. I know it's trashy food for a kid and I'm ordering it, but I expect what's served to be cooked. Not going back."

"Very good food, Good service. But the waiting time is over 60 minutes from the moment we put in our order, and that is on our last three visit (we like the food). We were offer bread (on the house) or more drink while we...wait. They claim their take out service is very busy so it take time to fill the restaurant order. But I didn't saw any car driving through the take out window. The waitress was embarrassed. What is going on there? No more for us."
