"The food was really good, went there with 2 full-time meat eaters and they loved it as well. Also a really nice waitress who understands English very well! I would definitely recommend this place:"

"I found this place after arriving in Tokyo at 7pm and feeling the need to just eat and relax. Kiboko is on the 4th floor of a building over Doutor coffee shop, and you have to climb 4 flights of stairs, but it's worth it. It's a small bar overlooking a busy street, and most of the food is finger food intended for sharing, but as a solo traveller I found 2 plates to be a good meal. I had the seitan skewer and the coriander gyoza, plus an organic beer. The flavours were just wonderful, especially the skewer, which I don't recommend for sharing as you'll want to eat the whole thing! The staff are lovely too."

"By far the best and freshest Mediterranean cuisine you will find in Japan. Not only is the food stunning, the flavors are so fresh and the flavor profiles are great. It is quite expensive, but that’s to be expected in this area. Highly highly recommend!"

"Probably the best meal we have had in Japan so far. We ordered almost one of everything off of the vegetarian menu except those with egg, it’s clearly marked absolutely delicious. My partner and I were full like really full. Staff were beautiful, plants everywhere. I’m definitely going back!"

"A group of vegan and non-vegan enjoyed a lot of extraordinary directed. the menu was limited (which are difficult times,) but at the end I could choose some vegan options. Normally, the menu has clearly marked veg options both in Japanese and English. as with previous reviews, they ask whether they are completely vegan or whether they could be made vegan, this could best be demanded in advance to avoid disappointment. avocado tofu is not what you would expect!"

"The restaurant has a few single options for vegans but can make the main set vegan by taking out the egg in the tempura and you get to watch it being made in front of you if you are seated downstairs. The food is delicious and the staff has fluent English. Will definitely be coming back. The location is super convenient and easy to find from the Asakusa station, just across the street towards the bridge behind the Burger King."

"I had moderately high expectations for this place and went on Xmas evening. I ordered the yuzu pepper pasta and it had little to no flavor and was a very strange consistency (soupy and slimy). It was actually borderline gross and I didn’t know how much I would be able to finish. I could deal with the consistency of the sauce if the flavor was there, but it was almost flavorless; surprising given the number of ingredients visible in the sauce (including some mysterious white stuff). Don’t order the yuzu pepper pasta unless you like bland food that is slimy."

"Came here for a birthday dinner, and enjoyed the lunch packages; their vegan cheese and vegan meat are very good, and they explore some bold flavor combinations that were quite beautiful. the cheaper lunch set was about 3,000 ¥ and the more expensive was 5,000 ¥. both were nice, but not sure how much more the more expensive offered. the two sets contain drinks after dinner and 5 mini desserts!"

"Wasn 't Journey located in Kabukichō and closed for a while before relocating, or was that a fever dream I had? Anyway, Ain Soph is one of the first fully vegan restaurants I learned about in Tokyo, so it holds a special place in my heart despite being expensive/mainstream. Since the prices are a bit steep, I can 't try as many options as I 'd like every time I visit. I finally got to taste their famous Heavenly Pancakes, and I loved them! Please don 't expect Japanese fluffy pancakes the lack of eggs, milk and butter gives these a scone like texture. I actually find regular Japanese pancakes to be disgustingly eggy and too heavy, so I loved these (scones are in my top 3 pastries for sure). Sad that the seasonal choice of ice cream was rum raisin, though (Iwould have loved regular soy/vanilla flavor), but the whipped cream with roasted nuts was fantastic. I hope I can get rich soon, and maybe try one of their everything dinner courses the wraps and salad parfait looked so good!!"
