"After watching an Anthony Bourdain in Vietnam episode, I couldn’t stop thinking about making a visit to Viet Bistro. Great experience, great food, fair prices in light of…ya know…2020 and the what not. Server was excellent and steered us in the right direction. My wife and I shared an appetizer of autumn rolls and spring rolls. The rice wrap on the autumn rolls was translucent in its perfection. Wife had a beef dish for her entree. I sampled and the meat was tender and flavorful. I asked the server for something that I’d find in a street market in Saigon. I was rewarded with a nicely spicy broth with veggies, noodles and pork…topped with heaping quantities of bean sprouts, coriander leaves, basil and chili. Really delicious. Will be back, probably with a bottle or two of Tsingtao to wash it all down."

"Maplewood is an excellent place to eat. It is especially a romantic place to take your significant other. Their food is amazing. I definitely recommend the lobster, the salad, and raviolis with meatballs. The service was wonderful with great customer service. "The service was very good. The food was another story. For our apps we ordered the bacon wrapped shrimps and fried lobster ravioli; the shrimps were cooked with a bacon. About price for what received 4 shrimps not Jumbo. The lobsters Ravioli were fried and also over price only 4 small ravioli; the tomato sauce on the ravioli was very good. For our dinner we had 10oz Strip Steak and Bourbon Glazed Lachs. Both of them were good, but I think they were overpriced. Both entrees came with garlic-finger potatoes that had no taste and were boiled under."

"The food is amazing! But...the small portions for the high prices are sad. I would eat here all the time if they werent so expensive. I can get way more sushi for much less at Shop Rite, and its just as fresh and delicious, just not as many combination options as Sushi Lover. Overall, I most likely wont eat here again until I receive my income taxes because, as I said, they are too expensive."
