"After reading OK ish (or worse) reviews on here, we approached with some trepidation. But we were tired, and we didn't fancy traipsing round to find somewhere else, so we plumped for this. So glad we did! It was much much better than it had any right to be, given the reviews we saw. The food was absolutely excellent, and the wine superb. My escargots were the best I've ever had, and the lamb shank had been braised within an inch of its life beautiful. Madame's fish was not very flavoursome, she said, but I tried the leek sauce it came with and thought it was wonderful the kind of thing I'd like to try to replicate at home. Overall, an excellent meal and great value. Merci au chef!"
