"We live in Canela and are frequent visitors to Galangal. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the food is absolutely excellent!! What a surprise to find one of the best Asiatic restaurants in Brazil, hidden like a treasure here in Canela. We have taken our friends...to Galangal (from all points in Brazil and the United States) and all agree the food is excellent! The environmental and service are also superb. It's an excellent choice for a romantic dinner or an outing with family or friends."

"I went there twice and one was on my Birthday! I feel that the restaurant represents the real Gaucho cultura. Gaucho or Gaucha is the name given to the local person that was born under the local tradition. To start, at the entrance you can...see huge pieces of meat been grilled. It beautiful to see. Inside you are going to find traditional people, locals and tourists as well. The food is also traditional. However, heavy. It is the kind of food prepared to the cowboy that need to have energy to work all day at the farm, so traditional. The show is amazing! And you are going to correlate the dances with many of your own culture. This is a must to see and taste place! Before you left stop at the wall with many Pingas Brazilian vodka) they have it mixed with different flavors. Do try to much alcohol level is really high."
