"When you are okay when food is tossed at you, eggs landing smashed on the floor and rice is flying through the air and likewise landing on your lap or on the floor go there. I have been raised with a strong awareness that food is here for eating and not to play with - too many people around the world are starving. But let me talk about the food quality anyway: we had a beef eye filet: I've never seen so pale looking beef! We not have been asked about how we want to have it cooked and (best of all) we had to eat it without anything else. Fried rice came later in another course... When it came (air delivery which the cooked tossed and we had to catch it with a bowl): It was overcooked, did not taste freshly prepared and was rather warm than hot."

"I bought a CUDO deal for $49 for 2 people. It included 2 x glass of wine/ beer , to share: endamame, chicken karage, tofu and seaweed and avocado salad, tempura prawn crunch roll and miso soup. Then 1 x main each whuch couldve been...chicken/ salmon teriyaki, wagyu beef udon, assorted tempura. The value was exceptional. The food was so yummy and the location and atmosphere placed you in the middle of Darling Quarter. I will definitely return here. The staff were also helpful and very friendly and polite."

"I'd been travelling to Sydney every couple of weeks for work and Hokkaido became a regular stop for dinner each trip. The mainstays of my dinner order were a tonkatsu curry and a Suntory Malts. Other dishes that I tried in addition to the curry...were the gyoza as well as the kara-age (frind chicken). In half a dozen visits never had a bad meal and service has always been superb."

"The location is extremely convenient if you’re catching public transport, as it’s only a few minutes walk from the station. I had always noticed it walking past but first time dining in.<br/ <br/ We ordered vegetarian dumplings and some prawn dumplings. Both were tasty and did not bring shame to their name. Guess you can’t go wrong with this choice, and they had a good variety on offer.<br/ <br/ Surprisingly the good food didn’t stop there as the noodles were quite nice also. Perhaps they could do with some more variety with the noodles as the ones on the menu were all meat heavy. We asked if they could take out the meat and give us more veggies instead, which the waiter confirmed was fine. When the noodles came out, it unfortunately did not look like there was an extra serving of vegetables but regardless we went with it. Wasn’t too pleased when it came time to pay and they had actually charged us more for the “extra” vegies when it was agreed upon that it was a replacement!<br/ <br/ As much as I was fine with the dumplings and noodles, I am not keen to order the bean sprouts again as they were very difficult to chew and my jaw was actually hurting after a while. I now know it’s a seasonal issue rather than the chef’s cooking but still, wasn’t a good introduction to this dish.<br/ <br/ Dumplings and noodles were tasty, so stick with these and you’ll have a great meal. Pricing wasn’t too bad, but we probably could have done with a bit more food, so around $30pp."

"If they only have $5 to lunch and want a healthy option, then this is the only place to wynyard that can offer them this. they have 3 sushi reels for $5 with other extremely favorable options throughout the day and low on the budget I always go to them for a feed. the rolls are also well made with a good amount of filling and really get them full."

"The famous @onetealounge Peking duck waffle fries were the ducks nuts. Topped with shredded duck, shallots and liberally slathered with their spicy Hoisin sauce. Deviating from the classic sweeter Hoisin sauce served with Peking duck dishes, this one had more of a savoury, peppery taste. Plus waffle fries, 'nuf said. That said these are on the pricier side $17 and at the price given the amount of peking duck with the dish it's hard to justify the cost.

Also grabbed the Gang Bang burger. It may not be the prettiest burg on the block but with a name like Gang Bang, it's obviously the rough around the edges gangster of the @onetealounge family. Double beef patties - flavourful and not overdone with still a hint of pink, could have possibly done with a bit shorter on the grill but that's just personal preference. Plus jalapeno cheese, pepper jack, jalapenos and a big ass kransky. But it was that smoky chipotle BBQ sauce that stole the show for me, and there was loads of it!"
