"This review is based on 3 visits in a 3 months period. The place is unassuming from the outside, thus easy to miss on the walk to the beach just down the road. We stopped the first time looking for a place to watch El Clasico match between Barcelona and Real Madrid in November. The place was very full but the manager brought in an extra table from outside and set up with an excellent view to the big screen. We just had refreshments and apetizers, all as good as expected. And we watched the game among mostly Barcelona fans from the area. It was great. So we went back for another Barcelona game a few days later and had the same good experience. We also saw some locals having dinner in the restaurante section each time. So we decided to give them a try for New Years eve dinner. We stopped by the day before to check what they had (after trying a number of other restaurants that were no longer accepting reservations for New Years eve). The manager said they were full but would make room for us (4). They had a prepared menu for 59 Euros pp. It included multi course spanish delicacies for apetizers, pheasant or fish for the main course, sherbet before the ice cream dessert, plus beverages, wine, champaign, and party favors for the midnight customs. Unlike most other places we checked, it also included a live band and dance until the wee hours on New Year. Almost too good to be true for 59 Euros pp. We went back on New Years eve at 9:00PM and to our amazement, it exceeded our most optimistic expectations. It was a blast. Our table was in a private section of the restaurant along with 3 more tables, one with 3 nice people from the UK, another one with a father and daughter, and the other with a group of Spanish friends and family that had a show of their own with all the necessary noise, jokes, laughter and drinking. In the main room probably under a couple of hundred people packed to capacity in long row tables, chatting, drinking and eating for 3 hours until the countdown to midnight. The food was excellent, the hot was hot and the cold was cold as it is supposed to be, which is difficult with so many people to serve at the same time. The service was flawless, the food and drinks kept coming and everybody was finished about 15 min before midnight, switching to the party gear, the 12 grapes and popping the champaigne bottles to be ready for midnight. They turned the big TV screens on to keep up with the official countdown somewhere in Spain, and at midnight, everybody went crazy like elsewhere around the world with noise makers, funny hats, masks, and throwing little paper rolls. But then it kept going... The music started, the people were dancing and there was no longer any eating. Just drinking, laughing, dancing and a lot of embracing with good wishes for the New Year and beyond. Friends and strangers alike, and including the friendly restaurant staff that came to every table and wished individually a New Year to their customers. And every now and then a friendly customer that had a few too many, carrying a bottle of hard liquor offering a drink and good wishes to anyone that listened and let him pour some of the good stuff. In summary, an amazing experience. We will cherish the memories for a long time and will recommend to anyone for sure whether for a few beers and watch a game, or a 5 course Spanish dinner and party on New Years eve."
