"Dinner in Honolulu, Hawaii...Looking for a late night meal, we searched our Yelp apps and found Volcano Skewer House. Located on the Ground Level of the 808 Sheridan Center, we found free street parking on Sheridan Street. Service was very friendly and welcoming especially since we didn 't have reservations. A table was being cleaned when we arrived, and we were lucky to get it!We ordered the beef, chicken, and lamb skewers and asked for no spicy . A small bowl of spices was placed on the side, but the chicken skewers were still spicy hot. The lamb wasn 't too gamey, and the beef wasn 't too tough. There was a tray which stayed warm by candles under it. The skewers were placed on the tray. Our used skewers went into the designated receptacle. We also had the scallion pancake crispy and a bit oily. The Garlic Eggplant was disappointing. It smelled delicious, but had a spicy topping with strange flavors and some kind of noodles. Overall, it was a fun experience! We enjoyed the whimsical decor and were happy that we didn 't have to cook our own food! Next time, we should get the mushrooms, corn, green beans, and bean curd!"

"As for the food, honestly, the aperitif bread was the best, and the steak was delicious, but it was only good for 5 bites. From then on, you can pay a high price and enjoy the food fight experience. There are several steak menus, but the server usually recommends one menu. It was just so-so, but the price was ridiculously high. The service wasn't bad, but they gave us a wedding commemorative dessert, but maybe the server's service was too much for dealing with so many Asians? It was more mediocre than I thought It is a place that is disappointing in many ways, Oh, and it's a place where a lot of Japanese people come, so on the day I went, only Asians were accepted in the large hall. I don't know what it's like on other days."

"I have been wanting to try this place for awhile. It is tucked away in a corner of Foodland Farms. The entrance and vibe almost reminds me of a speakeasy. It is not a big space but it is cozy. The brunch buffet was all laid out on a bar in the middle of the room. Seafood bisque quite good. Breakfast pastries not bad. Salmon Benedict needed to wait for it from kitchen. Brioche French toast good but slightly soggy. Perhaps, because it's a smaller space, the food does not turnover as quickly and they stay in the warmers for too long. Prime rib tasty. Dessert was served to us by server. Four bite sized choices but the server did not seem keen on giving you one of each so we both chose two each. Both quite good. I would go back because of the vibe and coziness and it seems nice for out of town guests, but I do not plan to go regularly."
