"It's totally family restaurant. Cozy and nice interior with walls full of family photo. My order took a restaurant owner. This place was full of local people, menu only in german, owner speak only in german too. I ordered SMALL portion of soup (see photo...below) and a tradicional sausages with fried onions, potato and salad. Portions are really huge, I'm 2 meters tall but it was too much even for me. This combo with a big beer was 13 euros. Just I made one mistake ordered beer, but you should try HOME MADE APPLE WINE. It's cheap and tasty, all local drinks it. Tottaly recomend to come here."

"This top address was still missing in Trier! Large, modern and stylish ambience combines excellent quality and an excellent taste experience of the dishes. The amuse leg, a butter soft egg in herbal foam that corresponds to Easter, was not every taste first because of its consistency. After the parmesan foam soup from the oxen tail and the clear essence of the tomatoes as well as the fresh foccacia with its own salt butter was a good start. After the calf fillet with oven potatoes and asparagus, on the one hand the beef steak convinces with beans and polnta and two types of sauce on the other hand absolutely tasteful. Meat and wonderful taste experiences. However, the proportions could be greater than a small tick. A coffee with several sugars is then served. The service was very good, but our good overall impression was somewhat distorted at the end, as we had to wait 30 minutes for the bill despite multiple requests. The superior has unfortunately not mitigated our criticism with a beautiful sentence. We definitely come back and recommend the Hamp!"

"We arrived here at the awkward hour for dining 1500, but happily they had an in-between meal menu with soup, salad, flamkuchen, and dessert. We were walking and famished, and when every other restaurant is closed between 1400-1700 this one was not. We sat outside with a view of the river, nice comfy chairs, they brought a water bowl for our dog. We had white wine, asparagus soup (delicious and creamy), the vegetarian flamkuchen (best flamkuchen ever) and the apple pie (I have had better). The bathrooms were lovely, the service prompt and friendly, the atmosphere relaxing and beautiful, and the food very, very good."
