"I recently discovered Mandro Teahouse with my friends after getting Thai food at Simply Thai next door, and it quickly became our favorite dessert place! Located in Newark, California, this teahouse is also known to have a Milpitas location, which we plan to check out soon. But for now, we are absolutely obsessed with their Mango Bing Sue, which has become our go-to treat.The Mango Bingsoo at Mandro Teahouse is simply amazing! It's creamy, refreshing, and the perfect balance of sweetness. The mangoes are always fresh, sweet, and perfectly ripe, and they generously pile them on top of the shaved ice. The portion size is generous, and the large is super filling, making it a satisfying dessert option. One of the best parts is the condensed milk that you can pour over the top, adding an extra layer of richness and flavor to the dish. It's a perfect combination of creamy, sweet, and refreshing, especially in the summertime.No wonder Mandro Teahouse is always busy, no matter what time of day or week it is. Even on weekdays, it can be hard to find seating, especially during the summer when school/college lets out. "I really wanted to like this place because sushi burritos are hard to come by up north. Gave them about a dozen tries. I guess all I can say is don’t ever order takeout over the phone but order in-person because they frequently get the order wrong. Today I ordered two salmon burritos with just salmon and avocado and a side of sweet mango sauce to-go. Despite me confirming multiple times that I did not want any other toppings, they stuffed the burritos with fake crab filler. Why? Lol. And they forgot the sauce. And then if you do get toppings, they’ll just barely put in any fish in there at all, like 3/4 of a scoop for an entire burrito. They cut corners and before you know it you’ve paid 14-15 dollars for rice and initiation crab, mushy avocado and like 5 tiny chunks of salmon. I think they get enough business to stay moderately busy so they feel like they can cut these corners but the thing is, this is what’s keeping them from ever being a GREAT restaurant like FOB in Seattle or the Zen sushi burrito spot in Tacoma. Just focus more on quality, fair portions, and getting the orders right and you could have something awesome."
