"In Bucharest, vegetarian restaurants are a rarity ... non-smoking restaurants even more so ... and a place that combines the two is equivalent to the proverbial Philosopher's Stone. Nevertheless, such a place exists ... it's called Fibrio's.For this initiative alone - healthy food and clean air - we have to give Fibrio's four stars, although in most other respects we's give it three.The location is quite central ... walking distance from Piata Romana, and a few metres from Dorobants, which is a main shopping street. The ambiance, to be frank, is nothing special; there is no outdoor seating, and the dining room is dark, with no windows, subdued lighting which feels like a disco; and a quite unnecessary wide-screen television displaying the usual idiocies, but with the sounds turned low (why bother?). Service is slow; but that's maybe to be expected since the food is prepared to order.Now the food ... we have to say that it's healthy and home-cooked, and freshly prepared. There are two menus - vegetarian and vegan - which are identical in most respects, but we presume that the vegn uses soy products in place of dairy. Strangely, the vegetarian menu includes chicken soup - could it be soy chicken?I tried the pizza. I have to say that it might not be to a normal pizza-lover's taste. The bread is wholemeal, and rather hard and dry; the ingredients likewise rather dry, and (since they don't use any herbs or spices) somewhat bland. But you can improve it with olive oil, balsamic and black pepper which are all available on the table. My wife took the lentil soup and the avocado salad, and pronounced them both excellent. We shared a fruit cheescake (made with tofu), which my wife liked, but I found heavy. Finally, the prices are stiff ... RON 25 for the cake, for example. Our experience of vegetarian restaurants in Romania, in general, is that they are expensive; maybe Romanians are desperate for a healthy eating experience.All in all, we have to encourage this kind of place. My advice to Fibrio's: cut the prices, and get rid of the stupid television."

"We were staying in the nearby K+K hotel, and as this place was listed as the spot for breakfast in Bucharest we decided to check it out. After a short walk and a little searching we found Simbio on a side street in a residential area. At first we were a bit put off by the attitude of the staff, and almost walked out again... Upon entering we were brusquely told there was no room and we could "try" downstairs. Downstairs (i.e. the basement, no windows) the staff was just as cheerful, but we got a table anyway after promising we'd be out by 11:30 to make room for the reservations. Sunday is peak brunch time for the Bucharesti hipster crowd it seems... So we quickly chose something of the menu (it took them a while to come and take our order considering they wanted us out of the way fast) that neither of us had tried before: poached eggs benedict and florentine. I had some home-made lemonade drink on the side as well. Our orders did come out fast, and our waiter gradually became less grumpy with each interaction. The food was REALLY good. We both loved the poached eggs and the veggies. We even considered going back there the next day, but the thought of having to go through that unwelcoming staff again held us back. Too bad, now that I've "discovered" eggs florentine I want them again, I hope they'll be as good as they were in Simbio."

"The Stejarii Pool Club is a very beautiful and special place in Bukarest. The SPA Area is (as the whole club) is huge and and beautiful - perfect for a relaxing wellness day. The food at the restaurant was also very good. Especially the Pizza "New York" with truffles is a must-eat! The service was very friendly, caring and professional. We felt very comfortable and well-treated during our visit. Thanks to the Club and their friendly employees."

"I had previously visited Vanfruct back in march based on a TripAdvisor review and it was the best thing I had ever done. The waffles are amazing and the smoothies are to die for. Every visit there, the quality has always remained the same. Whether you choose a sweet or savoury dish. I was on a trip with a group of friends and had to take them here as I had such an enjoyable experience last time. The owners there are really sweet and amazing people. Such love and care was put into the food and I wish them all the best! Guys if you are in the area, do pay a visit to VanFruct! I can assure you they won't disappoint!"

"I went here for lunch a couple of weeks ago. This is a new concept from Ana Pan and I was very familiar with their products so I said I should give this a try. I ordered a celery soup and a Caprese sandwich. the food was good, but I had to wait a little for the soup. the staff was polite but could pay a little more attention to their customers. I will go again to try the egg sandwich. You should visit if you like cookies/cake/sweets or pastry. they have an extensive offer."
