"Coming from Melbourne, a city famous for its breakfast cafes, I think I am quite a hard person to please when it comes to ordering breakfast - especially when I order smashed avocado - one of my all-time favourites. So, I was immensely surprised that the Alley Cats version was as good as, if not better than, any I have ever tasted. What made it so special was the addition of broad beans and the incredibly delicious topping of home-made dukkah. It was incredibly delicious and if you added a serving of speck, made for a truly memorable breakfast. Our coffees were also of a very high standard and we enjoyed the whole experience so much we ordered the exact same breakfast the following day. So why not a five star experience? The cafe itself is not that attractive and the service can be a bit slow as is the queue when the cafe is busy - which would appear to be quite often due to the delicious looking food they serve. Try to get there early and enjoy!"

"We've been through this rustic café while we explore Darwin's different arcades. In fact, this situation is unique as it used to be the old open air cinema. The Butterscotch Muffin was decadent and tasty and the special, four cheese toastia is the additional cholesterol worth your arteries yum!"

"Looked it up before arriving and definitely lived up to the reviews. I wanted good coffee but also good food, but not a burger. I had the big breakfast and my partner the mushrooms. Both delicious. Coffee was excellent as well"

"Food took far too long, chicken over cooked, bacon undercooked, lack of sauce. Waiter originally gave wrong meal and had to take it back. Burgers are not hard guys, be better."

"Quite expensive for what it is. The service was initially nice, then became quite rude when asking prices for takeaway and subsequently taking a while to decide what to order. At one point the service lady rolled her eyes while shaking her head and walking away. Won't be going again."
