"I phoned and asked for a window seat as had relatives arriving from New Zealand. I was happy to see we were accommodated. Fantastic views, not noisy like a lot of restaurants and reasonable valet parking. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive."

"This was a group of friends who had gone to elementary school together 50 yrs ago! Centrally located between Chicago, DeKalb, Sheboygan and Whitewater! We enjoyed our food, our server, Maria, and, of course our conversation. My husband and I had eaten here several times before and always liked it!"

"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"This is excellent food and service at very reasonable prices in a cool atmosphere. The pasta and sauces are exceptional. Try the calamari appetizer and you will be asking for a jar of sauce to take home. Scallops perfectly prepared, pasta fresh and tender, meatballs simply outstanding. Absolutely love this restaurant and will drive the hour to dine here again over and over"

"Exceptional food in an authentic, non-demanding environment. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, which added to the great experience. For bread lovers, there are 3 different breads, all of which are made there and are all wonderful. I stop on the way out of town to pick up bread and take it home to friends. My salad was fabulous and the vodka chicken pasta (a specialty) was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce. The specials change with the seasons. Desserts are all made there and everyone looked great. We share the ice cream on Sunday with homemade caramelized marshmallows and chocolate ganache. It was wonderful. You can share it with 4 people as it is very large. We will definitely have dinner here again when we return to Mayo and Golf."
