"We were driving around exploring the coast and found this lovely hotel. We had driven down from the main road though an expanse of plastic covered Tomato fields and found ourselves at Calahonda Beach, quaint, quite, pebble beach. It was so lovely we decided to stay. Had a great sea view room with balcony. The hotel is nice a modern and actually better than all the 4 star hotels we stayed in on our trip. The restaurant is also very good."

"I'm from Sligo in Ireland. I went to Motril in the south of Spain to visit my good friend Susana Lasa. I have known her for nearly forty years. She took me to the restaurant Bambu beach. It's a new restaurant in the area. We started off with very nice tapas. Then we had tuna for main course and it was delicious. The wine was excellent too. The service was quick and the owner Lorenzo was very friendly and chatted with us. It wasn't expensive either. I highly recommend this restaurant. Philip Lyons"
