"One of the popular Redfern cafes that can get packed during peak times. Its a trek from Redfern station but nevertheless a nice stroll through the Redfern community. Tried a few dishes from their truffle menu and they were just average."

"Sometimes going Simple can be a good thing. I usually have the tendency of picking odd dishes or meals that have that “Je ne sais pas”..... catchy something about them. This time I decided to get their: Two Poached Eggs, Organic Sourdough, House-made spicy mango...Chutney. *The hero of this simple dish was the Spicy Mango Chutney, hands down. The portion of the Chutney may look small, but it was just the right amount. Because of Sydney’s current unpredictable weather, I went with their Mint cucumber soda. Wow was it refreshing! Let’s not forget the reason why I have breakfast... THE COFFEE. Of course I went with the Flat white, strong and Large cup of coffee. A SPECIAL THANK YOU to the young lady who was soooo friendly and attentive. I didn’t catch her name but she only works 1 or 2 days a week. He service was incredible. She would walk around with a big smile topping up people’s water. She’s certainly a keeper. Thank you again."

"Got a good deal on Eatclub for a late week night timeslot. Unassuming little Japanese restaurant in Redfern. Cozy, welcomed on arrival. Our table was ready. Hot tea and beers came out quickly. Ordered Gyoza, seaweed salad, and set boxes. Miso soup and a upon noddle dish were served first. Really tasty and fresh meal. Had an enjoyable time, loved the meal. "Menu was overwhelming with very over-the-top options. This is definitely a cafe for the gram. Some of the items seemed indulgent but were actually just far too heavy. Location is lovely coffee was great. My dish had both pork (very fatty) and crab which...left me feeling extremely sick."

"This is a great looking place. The open and airy room has well spaced tables and all kinds of tea for sale and on display. The menu has brunch bowls, sandwiches, soups and various toasts.Most of the menu items are made by incorporating some kind of tea, which i think is very clever. some of the food didn't quite hit the mark in terms of flavour. The pulled beef sandwich with pickled cauliflower had way too much cauliflower, The brunch bowl was nice and fresh but had absolutely no dressing or seasoning. the dry quinoa that sat in one corner was hard to digest. The winner was the breakfast adventure with black tea chutney, eggs, hollandaise and bacon. We had several tea lattes but they were a little weak the milk overpowering the tea flavour. I loved the way the tea was served it is very fitting for a tea based cafe. Specially desighned tea pots with timers to get maximum brewing time."
