"It was Summerlicious and it was lunchtime for those who work in the area so the noise level was too high for my liking. I dined with 3 other people and overall the dishes were good but not stellar. The server was prompt and efficient even though it was very busy. I wouldn't mind trying other things on the menu when it's not Summerlicious."

"I honestly had no idea that the public could feed in the osgoode halle, but they can and should! beautiful dining room fed with books, portraits and glass painting. our lunches surpassed the expectations, beef onions and the Israeli cousin salad, and memorized forelle with Soba noodles. both were so good! the service of masrul was attentive, but not overlaid. only two minor complains: white wine could be cooled and the maître de was very business like. oh, and the prices were fantastic!"

"Opus has been a mainstay in the Annex neighbourhood for close to 30 years. What has kept in in business (and it was packed the night we dined there) great service, outstanding food and one of the best wine lists in Toronto. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner the seared foie gras appetizer (very silky and very rich), the Fogo Island cod entree (a small portion but perfectly cooked and served with a great saffron sauce) and doughnuts tossed in cinnamon sugar for dessert. It's not cheap appetizers in the mid $20s and most entrees between $40 and $49 but a good place as any to splurge."

"I have tried a few Ramen bars in Toronto (and Burnaby) and so far Jinya is my favourite. Not that the other ones are not good but overall Jinya is my always Ramen bar to go. Good quality ingredients, tasty and well-balanced broth, cleanness, great...service, and friendly staff are the main reasons. Once I ordered avocado salmon salad and after 10 minutes the server told me that they ran out of salmon. He apologized and offered 50% discount on anything I order. Great attitude!"

"Makimono serves up some pretty good Sushi dishes. First let's get it out there that service was superb and quick. The endeme was however cold and needed more salt. As for the main sushi dishes they were good but did lack flavour in some of...them, textures and temperature were good."

"Server and staff was friendly but timing was very off. Food arrived cold. Coffee arrived late and and cold. Assuming they were short staffed, but it wasn’t busy at the time. Food was ok. Atmosphere was nice and jazz band was a lovely touch."
