"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Indo Cafe, a hidden gem of an Indonesian restaurant located just a short 15 20 minute drive from Downtown Seattle. As someone who misses Indonesian food tremendously, especially since Indonesian restaurants are hard to find in Chicago (the closest one being about an hour away from Downtown Chicago), I was eager to see what Indo Cafe had to offer. Ambiance: Indo Cafe creates a warm and inviting atmosphere with its cozy wooden decor and soft lighting, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience. The attentive staff welcomed us warmly from the moment we arrived. Menu Variety: Indo Cafe's menu boasts an enticing array of Indonesian dishes, featuring classics like rendang and beloved comfort foods like nasi goreng. On this occasion, I decided to dive into the renowned Ayam Mbok Berek, eager to explore how it compared to the authentic flavors of Indonesia. Ayam Mbok Berek: The Ayam Mbok Berek did not disappoint. The chicken was expertly seasoned and incredibly tender, delivering a burst of authentic Indonesian flavors. The sambal, while slightly milder than expected, complemented the dish well, enhancing its overall appeal. Cah Kangkung: To accompany the main course, we ordered the Cah Kangkung, a simple yet flavorful dish of stir fried water spinach with garlic and chili.
