"We were so relieved and pleased to find Kayseri Mutfağı, we ate there every day for a week! Yes, the place serves meat, but it is almost impossible to find a place not in eastern Turkey (except baklava shops). We were delighted to find Fasulye (a bean bowl in a tomato sauce very delicious) cooked with no meat at all. Again, this is rare. I was told that a dish has no meat, only able to taste clearly sheep fat in it (Juck). Kayseri Mutfağı not only offers beans, but also at least a cooked vegetable dish per day, which is completely vegan. They always have delicious filled grape leaves that are also completely vegan. You can complete your meal with pure rice or pilav, and there is a salad bar where you want everything you want, and all the delicious options here are vegan, too. There is always a yogurt based cold soup on offer for Lactovegetarians, and you can drink a cardboard box of the popular Ayran Turkey (Salty Yoghurt). Bread is free, and this is also vegan. This restaurant is located in Piazza Mall, directly opposite the street from the government archeology museum (which is fabulous, by the way the nearby Mosaic Museum). It is super clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and we were happy every day for this meal. Excellent value, though a little more expensive than eating in a local lokanta if you find one in Şanlıurfa. We could not find good (i.e. one with beans that had no meat).
