"Dabrowski’s is a multi-purpose business specializing in smoked meats and selected Eastern European delicacies (e.g. perogies): - wholesale distributor;- retail store; and- take-out only lunch-time deli with a limited menu. On a couple of recent visits the menu was chalked onto a large blackboard behind the counter…. “Every Day Lunch” and “Daily Specials”- “Every Day Lunch”: Perogies $6.50; Deli Sandwich $6.50; Soup & Bun… large $6.50, small $4.00; Salad… medium $5.50, small $3.50; “Make it a Combo”… choice of 2 for $8.50 (Sandwiches and salads are pre-made for faster in-and-out service.)- “Daily Special”… one for each of Monday through Friday respectively… Smoked Meat Sandwich $8.00; Philly Cheese Steak $9.00; Pulled Pork $8.00; Prime Rib Sandwich $9.50; Brisket Sandwich $9.50; (Add a side… Soup, Salad or Perogies $3.00)All of the above include a beverage (soda pop, water, etc.). So the prices are very reasonable. Very good value.On my first visit I opted for a deli sandwich, which on that day was a Roast Beef Wrap… large, chock full of roast beef, fresh shredded lettuce, red peppers, onion, tasty sauce. Very satisfying. Good value.Second visit I chose the smoked meat sandwich with a side of perogies. The perogies came with a small container of sour cream and were very good. On a future visit I would almost certainly take back to the cottage a container or two from the retail display case. The smoked meat sandwich was good, but not superior… less meat than standard in Montreal; and brown bread, not rye... but nevertheless OK for the purposes of a quick take-out lunch. Counter service on both occasions was friendly and efficient. Limited on-site parking.In summary: A good lunch-time deli option… but for visitors passing through Timmins keep in mind that this is take-out only establishment, zero on-site seating or other restaurant facilities.... so for travelers these lunches are for in-vehicle consumption. NOTE: My rating reflects ONLY the restaurant/deli portion of the business. I have no experience with the retail/butcher store products."
