"Cute little bar in MontClair. They had many tvs each playing something different. We tried an App of shrimp poppers and they were good but the portion size is small. This would be a fun place to watch games and eat apps and drinks for happy hour. I didn’t see a happy hour sign though"

"Spoiler alert: if you are on a diet or looking to lose weight, do not read this post. I love Cafe l'amore and have been going here for years. But just never posted about it. I have never had a bad meal here. The food is consistently good. Make that outstanding, because it's better than good. Every time I go I always order the stuffed artichoke. Literally the best I have ever had. Tonight we tried the pizza for the first time. Normally we order regular meals, but I was really in the mood for pizza. The wood fired brick oven puts a delicious smokey touch to the pizza. The crust is crunchy and light. But one of my favorite things about this restaurant is the people. Marco always greets you with a smile and makes you feel like family. The wait staff are all friendly and accommodating. If you haven't been to Cafe l'amore yet you are missing out!"

"We did the Valentine's Day prix fixe menu. While the food and service we good, the restaurant was very small and we didn't like being quite so crowded together. Given that, I feel like the value wasn't as good as it could've been. That said, if you don't mind getting cozy with your neighbors on a special occasion dinner, this is still a great place to eat."

"Came here for dinner and my first impression is that this would be a great place to go after work or with a group of people. The restaurant is set up with large tables and different rooms. The atmosphere is loud and friendly. It was a nice evening and the large windows were wide open to the street, giving a nice semi-outdoor feel. There's also a patio to eat outside should the mood strike. Most of the menu is tapas-style. The food is a bit on the expensive side, so plan to spend around $25 per person not including drinks if you do tapas all around. The two of us had chicharron chicken, chicken enchiladas, and the butter lettuce salad. The chicharron was grilled perfectly with the delicious sauce--very tasty. We should have ordered a fourth dish because I was still a bit hungry when we left. The staff gave us very friendly and attentive service with a smile."

"They've upped their game on food since 2 years ago. The beer list is great and the bartenders are friendly. I was down on them when they first opened- mainly for their food. But they've totally turned it around and I now enjoy this place regularly. Cool to see when a place reaches its potential."
