"Outstanding chicken molé at this little family owned (daughter father) Mexican restaurant. In addition to typical beans rice, they added a small fresh pickled shredded salad that was very refreshing to the palate and served as a contrast to the other flavors. Very fresh chips and salsa. Delicious, slightly boozy margarita. Prompt and personable service. I will be back with friends. Check it out!"

"Mostly meat and dairy in everything but there is one vegan burger on the menu. I asked and the onion ring batter contains dairy. It’s one of the only places with an easily ID’d vegan option. The burger was fine. I’d give it 3.5 stars."

"There are a few Hawaiian restaurants spread out in the greater Seattle area, and this one is in closer proximity for those in the north Seattle UW area. Overall, this place is a bit overrated. We went here around 10:30am on a Saturday and there was already a 15 min wait, and it seemed significantly busier when we left around 11:30am. A lot of the seating is closed down, maybe due to waitstaff shortages, with only a fraction of the restaurant in service. We tried the Kanak Attack lunch special and loco moco with hamburger steak. The kanak attack had a variety of meats spam, Portuguese sausage, teriyaki beef, and mochiko chicken, along with 2 scoops of rice and mac salad. I liked the mochiko chicken a lot juicy and flavorful. The Portuguese sausage had a little bit of spiciness although a bit salty. Spam was grilled decently, a bit on the drier side. Teriyaki beef is nothing special, but it was part of the lunch special. The egg rolls are the vegetable egg rolls that are usually present in Chinese takeout. The rice and mac salad were just okay. The loco moco was a bit tasteless with the gravy, and the hamburger steak was a bit on the drier side. We felt a little duped when the menu said the loco moco already comes with egg and hamburger steak, but we got charged an extra $4 for just one piece of hamburger steak. Price wise, the portions are good as 2 dishes were enough for 3 people. However, a good amount of it is because of the rice. We felt a little bit disappointed in the experience overall."

"Made driving to West Seattle worth it while the bridge was down! Dive but clean. Great menu with lots of vegetarian options but my favorite is their fried chicken. My god, their fried chicken. Great mixed drinks and tap selection as well. Great music (especially with their frequent live music) and great service."

"Soooo good. The prices were really reasonable and the food was everything you could want from a burger place. In the words of my brother: “the best blue cheese burger I’ve ever had.”"
