"The Hörnle Hütte is a holiday home of the Dt. Alpenvereis on approx. It is a popular excursion destination and you can hike up or swim in an armchair. The holiday house is participants of the action So taste the mountains, cottages with this award, serve mainly regional specialties, e.g. casspatzen, Kaiserschmarrn, Leberkäs, Jagertee.... and products from the nearby environment mainly from organic farming. There is also a small selection of changing daily dishes, seasonal dishes and drinks, homemade cakes, e.g. apple strudel...., vesper bowl ham plate, sausage salad......... and deguns from the Bavarian soup pot, e.g. pancake soup, pea soup with bacon,......... since everything is freshly prepared can take some time. However, as you enjoy a magnificent view and the hiker knows no hurry from the back of the mountain hut Zugspitzmasiv; on the front of the mountain huts the alpine prelandseen: like Staffelsee,Riegsee,Starnbergersee, the waiting time goes as in the flight and compensates for the efforts of the ascent. Our rest before we went on, we start on the terrace of the cottage, where a small beer garden came together. As usual in many huts we ordered our food on the counter and took our drinks outside. We strengthened with: hut noodles noodles with vegetables, lush bacon and cheese deft, hearty exactly right for the hungry hiker Kaiserschmarrn with applemus and cranberries good portion but could have been a bit bigger older choir, yeast wheat and ski water gave us an additional boost for the rest of the hike. For DAV members there is a discount on food and drinks and overnight DAV protein required!"
