"It’s all about tapas here and we love it. Simply delicious and imaginative creations! For example, one dish we ordered was Street Corn Gnocchi. So good! But there are favorites like guacamole and fries as well. Our friend is vegan and usually has only one or two choices at restaurants but she had several options here and was in heaven. They did everything well, including the cocktails and we’ll keep coming back Food: 5"

"I was here the other day. The homemade pop cake was delicious. However, the rest of the tariff service was something to be desired. I ordered 'A Long Sunrise ', this is a $15 Avacado toast with one side of fruit. The side of the fruit consisted of 9 blueberries, a single acid strawberry, and 4 slices of thin green apple more like a garnish really. So stingy. But I liked my $11 cocktail, only not the melted brown lime plate that came with him. My Bf ordered the Brisket Bowl. I don't remember the exact words, but he mentioned something about the taste of Akin to a tried pot roast. Sturblich tried to eat most of them, as it was $23. He also ordered a Blueberry Banana cocktail, but it just ended up a $12 smoothie. Later that day, my BF was contaminated with food poisoning. We don't know if it was the food from the penguin, but it was his main meal of the day he only packed chips soda after. Our waitress was nice enough, but we had inconvenience. The few times we wanted to ask for something, we had difficulty locating it, because it was often in the back or behind the bar wall. A few behind us also had to wait until the waitress showed up to request cups of water and refills. There were only a few tables, with other waiters present. In fact, there was not much to do, and even the man behind the bar stood there above all, as not many people drank. Anyway, when we tried to get our bill, we didn't know where our waitress was again. We waited long enough to use the bathroom, stack the plates and clear the table. We never got our own cups of water, but we spent $70! The penguin is just one of these overpriced generic diners with zero unsatisfactory charm. Not terrible, but not great. Wouldn't recommend The Penguin to the people I like. The President The BF is still ill, despite food poisoning a few days ago. He was diagnosed with Salmonella. We believe it was due to the undercooked eggs on his brisket bowl."

"The atmosphere is cozy, which is hard to find on the boardwalk, and welcoming. Our waitress was exceptional, the food was divine! The Lobster Ravioli starter was so good it could have been a meal in itself! Then came the main dishes which were surprising. I had no shells in my crab cakes and it had a slight zest to it I didn’t anticipate. Curry! Not a spice I would have used but that is why I am not a chef. Scallops seared to perfection wrapped in bacon and served on fresh sweet corn coulis! I give it 4 stars!"
