"On Wednesday, Hubby and I had just visited the adjacent amazing Glassblobbery Studio so we decided to have brunch at this Cafe. There is a FREE car park at the back. We expected the interior to be more of an American-themed diner, but it was more like a transport cafe (there is a garage/petrol station next door). We went to the counter. The Waitress was quite pleasant. Hubby ordered a bacon bap and I chose beans on toast. We also had 2 mugs of tea and a bowl of chips to share. The bill came to £9.20 (CASH payments only). Hubby said his bap was nice and tasty and the generous portion of chips were chunky and hot. However, I was a bit disappointed with my meal. The toast consisted of 2 ultra-thin slices of cheap white bread spread with greasy margarine. The ladle-full of beans were luke-warm and watery. Other customers were having the all-day breakfasts which seemed better value for money."

"It has always been a pleasure each time we visit the Sugar Plum tea room. We had two different meals off the menu both were really tasty, with a pot of tea for two. The wife selected a huge piece of coffee n walnut cake to take home for later. Well done all at this lovely cafe."

"Another lovely lunch with friends this month at Tudor House, Paul and Ivor always make you feel welcome, and the standard of food and service from their friendly staff is always top notch. A great place to meet for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea,...and they also hold evening events, with themed evenings serving dinner with several courses. Their outside catering is also of the same high standard."

"Great food in a friendly pub/restaurant. The starter of pigs in blankets is nothing like the supermarket ones you get at Christmas they were substantial small butchers sausages and bacon and there were five of them! The rump steak was cooked perfectly and was lovely and tender and juicy. Wish I’d had room for a dessert! Wish I lived locally so I could go back."

"Popped in this morning, whilst my wife checked out the cakes, I spotted the specials board; smashed avocado, spinach and poached eggs on toast with side salad. Sounded far too good to pass by. When it came, I was far from disappointed! The poached eggs were done to absolute perfection. It takes a great cook to poach eggs like that; whites cooked with yummy runny yolks. My wife had almond and cherry cake, it looked like a frangipan mix, which she said was gorgeous. I washed mine down with an Americana , my wife had a pot of tea that easily had 3 cups. All for £10:65. As Arnold Swatzenger famously said, we’ll be back!"
