"I surprised myself and the family by popping in for the 360 degree panoramic view, and then slipping into a wine tasting hosted by a lovely, professional lady with the most pleasurable voice. She explained, with deep and insightful precision, the notes and tones of the wines. What a joy. I don’t like wine but this was sublime. I think I might actually like Sharaz now. We also ordered a platter of meats, nuts, fruit, breads, I don’t even know what else. It was unreal. The best meat I’ve ever had in my life. Glorious. I highly recommend this spot I noticed they do a Sunday lunch and there were many happy looking diners will be popping back for that as soon as possible. My wife enjoyed it thoroughly, and we know that a happy wife means a happy life."

"A bit too pricey, but then again it's Durbanville. I just feel in the week things should be much cheaper and have more specials than Weekends. Otherwise I loved the vibe..Nice, Classy, Intermate soft spot.. With fireplace and all. Very clean neat and tidy. For me it was just a bit expensive for in the week,specifically for drinks specifically. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Staff should just not pretend to forget to give a customer's change.. Not everyone has R200 to just give away.. When trying to have a nice evening on a budget with friends, and or awesume that when people are dressed classy they are not going to worry about their change.. Should not be expecting a tip at all.... As generosity and consistency is key to what ever God has in store for anyone. Observations is extremely highly important, especially when you see your first time clients just popping in and passing. Personally I love the interior decoration, the vibe is quite chilled,relaxed and matured. Not for people in their 20's-30's.I who love wild parties.I loved it and will gladly recommend the place to anyone."

"Outstanding in every aspect. My first visit to Jéan restaurant will definitely not be my last. Our party was large but not one person was disappointed with their meal, the service or the ambience. The restaurant was busy but no one was neglected. The food was outstanding (breakfast) and hot. Each cup of coffee I had was piping hot just the way I like it. The gluten free toast was very good as was the gluten free Orange Almond tart. This restaurant is attentive to its guests and the food is awesome."

"Went there for the burgers for a 2nd time and enjoyed it alot. Huge portions with lots of salad , not just a piece of tomato a slice of cucumber, but almost a full green salad. Compared to a Spur burger , you'll think Spur is ripping you off , because it's almost the same price. Make sure to ask how the patty must be done."

"Fabulous bistro style cafe and deli at Meerendal in Durbanville. Whether you sit down for a meal, but a picnic or buy a ready made salad, sarmie or deli platter the food is excellent. With seating capacity for over 300, bookings are not essential.<br/ <br/ The setting is also beautiful, overlooking the lawns and the dam beyond. There is something just magical about this place. They have a liquor license so there are great beers on tap and of course the local wines.<br/ <br/ From affordable breakfasts to healthy fruit salads fresh juices to gourmet smoothie, sandwiches, wraps, salads and burgers Carlucci has it in spades!"
