"We have found the Starbucks locations in the Kanata area so poor that we had all but given up on finding a good one. But, since we happened to be in South Kanata today, we decided to try the one location we hadn't tried yet on Eagleson Road. And we were pleasantly surprised. Service was friendly and efficient. I always ask if the brewed decaffeinated coffee has been freshly made because I know from past experience that Starbucks brewed coffee can be left sitting for hours (and can therefore be undrinkable). The cashier wasn't sure if it was fresh, but offered to make a Decaf Americano in lieu. This is the approach taken by the best Starbucks locations and meant that my coffee was excellent. We also had two Double Smoked Bacon Cheddar and Egg breakfast sandwiches, which we also enjoyed. This location is definitely a cut above the other Kanata locations. My only negative comment is that the freshness of the brewed decaf was unknown. Surely it would be better to throw out the coffee after, say, 20 minutes rather than have a customer have to complain about it?"

"In the days when high tech was booming in Kanata, this restaurant had hot pizza, hot meals, soups, as well as breads and take-out salads. By now it seems that business must be really bad because the selection is really limited. Even the saltwater aquarium now contains only 1 lonely fish and no coral. I had a wrap sandwich and fruit salad and a drink. It cost about $12 in total. The sandwich was pretty dry and boring. Felt like being on a diet."

"Well there is a new restaurant in the Kanata area, it's a buffet. I was never fond of buffet, in that, once seated, you are told "the buffet is open" then you never see your server until they walk by pick up your used plates, then bring you the bill and usually that is the only interaction you have with the staff...... Well at Viva International Buffet, not so at all. First the food is awesome, great in quantity and quality. The staff is amazing, they care, they interact, they talk, they make recommendations on beverages. My wife wanted an item that was on the buffet day prior, they made it at no extra charge. Great food, great staff, awesome feed, overall a great evening. Looking forward to the next visit."

"So glad that we decided to stop in and try it here. We had the Shepard's pie and burger, it was delicious! Our server was Rick and he just made the whole experience even better! Great food, great service and great atmosphere! Looking forward to going again!"

"We ordered a large all dressed pizza. In a word it was bland and lacked flavour. The sauce was non descript. It was also the most expensive pizza for the size. JoJo's may have expanded but the product isn't anything special in our view."

"We visited twice during our stay in Ottawa - once for breakfast - good food - hot well cooked - attractive plating - hot replenished coffee - . Went again for a late afternoon lunch - had burgers and fish and chips. Both well cooked -very tasty and friendly service."
