"Kennington £5.40 Amstel A traditional Kennington pub complete with bedrooms and comedy club. . The Tommyfield is located on a busy intersection on Kennington Lane and Kennington Road and is just a five minute walk from Kennington Tube station. . At first glance at ground floor level, this pub looks contemporary in appearance but once you look up you can see how majestic the architecture is. If you look to the very top of the building you can see the pub’s original name, The White Hart. This pub is named after a nineteenth century market which was the home to Britain’s first fish and chip shop. . The decor here is simple but stylish. There are a few raised areas and a good size bar. There are lots of comfy sofas and chairs which make for a comfortable pub experience. . The beer choice is straightforward and full of familiar favourites. I had a pint of Amstel which was reasonably priced but was a bit flat. The lady who served was very nice and gave a warm welcome. The food menu is full of British classics with a good selection of hearty pies. For pub comparison purposes fish and chips costs £15 here, which is average London pub price. . I visited around 4pm on a Saturday afternoon and the pub was quiet. Apart from myself, there was a couple having a chat in one of the window seats and some guests checking in to stay at the six bedroomed hotel upstairs. This Kennington pub also hosts comedy nights by @alwaysbecomedy which showcases the best comedic talent around. Recent performers include Jack Whitehall, Joel Dommett and James Acaster. . There are lots of positives here at this multifaceted pub. The beer and food are reasonably priced and the comfortable surroundings make this pub a nice place to have a pint. . "A Great Place. One of the gems of Central London and an excellent place for an after work party. As one of the few remainig BYOs yes you can bring your own wine), Maries means that you can eat well and and cheaply, a real bonus as the chill winds of austerity blow through the economy. . Make sure to try the starters. They are excellent. Diners need to support indepedent restaurants like Maries or our city's high streets will be taken over by Nandos"

"First time coming here so glad this restaurant is now open as we have needed this in the komoka community. we had Corrinn as a server. She was absolutely delightful and put a chuckle on our faces. She recommended many dishes and consistently checked on us will bring our whole family here in the new year. Many blessings to this place."

"Their coffees increasingly taste like water, milk and duct tape. It’s almost arrogant to mess up a product you’re KNOWN for. This specific site has serious issues with quality. It’s like they WANT to shut down."
