"Have stayed at Best Western as a holiday maker over the past few years and had good dinners at Snappers on previous occassions, if staying for multiple nights would definitely recommend giving the place a try. On my most recent visit only used Snappers for...breakfast. Great selection of hot buffet and cold continental to choose from, with bread for toast etc and tea and coffee making options. Everything was fine food wise during this stay, but one morning which was a public holiday it looked like there had been staff shortages or they'd just been caught out, as a few tables were either not been cleared or had been cleared and not reset. Many tables without cutlery and a napkin. We just found a clean table and grabbed our own cutlery from the ones available near the buffet. I assume maybe a small tour group had been in maybe when the restaurant first opened for breakfast hence the half ready tables. Was not a bad experience at all and I would definitely stay at Best Western and use Snappers again just felt like the place was playing catch up !!."

"Warning: if you navigate to the website for 'The Irish' beware ! We were told that it is NOT current and (apparently) NOT in the control of the current operators AND as a consequence the photos and content are pretty much wholly out of date. But wait ! The social media feed is current ? So what the heck is going on there ? Tread your own path with that one. The restaurant photo is certainly out of date but much of the menu has carried over ... Confusing !Ok, maybe better move on. On the night we visited Brigitte was running the restaurant on her own. Well, not cooking, but you know what I mean. Front of house, waitress, bar tender, raconteur. Definitely a powerhouse. She's asked if you can all note how she spells her name too - thanks :).We've eaten at The Irish before - it is my daughter's favourite fish and chips - and fortunately the beer-battered flathead is as good as ever. And the Guinness is as good as ever too, so really there is a lot to like about the menu. Servings are big and the price is good - around $25 for a main.As I've mentioned Brigitte is attentive and service is fine. I have to say though, on the downside, on the night that we visited it was freezing. The open fire downstairs wasn't lit (in fact the downstairs seating area wasn't open at all) and the air conditioner upstairs just wasn't doing the trick. We sat there in our coats, as did the other guests (and Brigitte herself - well not sitting - for most of the time that we were there). The seating area upstairs is also quite small, cramped even, and the bar looms over the seating a bit. It must be much nicer to sit downstairs in front of the fire on a cold night, so ask if that area is open if you phone ahead.Well, that's about it. Did I mention Brigitte ? Oh, I did ? Ok."

"There are some reviews that show that there are delays....as well as our experience is that we order online, earlier on the day and we receive our order on time and hot. I wouldn't have asked for better. the pizza was delicious and hot as desired."

"Is this the most expensive cafe in Launceston? $ 7 for a roasted sandwich and $ 6 for their greatest coffee. Jesus. At least the place has a cool decor."

"Great coffee. For breakfast shared burcher muesli and bagel with eggs and bacon. Enjoyed both, but beware the servings are big too large for us! Unfortunately not the quickest service even when not busy."

"Yes, maybe they have heard from whondy's American almost food chain, but have they heard from the Australian franchise, now known as wendy's milk bar? So, let me be your type this place, wendy’s, is something of a Launceston Institute, located at the corner of the john st. ende of the shopping center. milk bars are traditionally a place where you can pick up milk and timelines and fast food items such as fish and chips and hamburger and where you can buy milkshakes or lollies that is the best way to describe what this place does and that does so well. Duh.
/dates: they are not available for purchase, but why do they not sit and read one of the local papers while waiting for their order? the best part is that this does not cost it one thing.
/ fastfood article: while wendys may not offer the traditional fish and chips or burgers, they are specialized in what they call dogs or hotdogs. they may have heard from the shake’n’dog combo with its iconic tremoring chihua TV spot. but first the dogs. So yes, I would say order the regular hot dog, which is a french in a soft roll with tomato sauce and mustard. That's great. the rolls are always so soft and instead of cutting to insert the sausage, they are used somehow without affecting the structure of the bungalow at all. this has always been interested in me and is something I have tried unsuccessfully to replicate at home several times. like all good dogs, of course, the bunny is steamed. the francfurter itself is made individually for wendys franchises and has this great snapper that they are looking in a sausage. the interior is suitable pink, probably best not to think what in it, although lol. also available is the mega dog and egg and bacon roll. I can't speak for both, but in the rule be best to stay at the class.
Milkshakes or lollies: this is the other area where wendys shines, and in an interesting swirl, many of the shakes available here actually contain lollies! I can recommend the crunchie, m"

"Up until last night Cataract on Paterson was my favourite restaurant in Launceston - this place is just that one big step better for a truly classy and yummy meal. The first time I have felt that a chef who really loves their job prepared my meal. Duck for entreeScotch fillet for main AND some crazy spicey pumpkin cream cheese thingy with peanut butter ice cream - yummiest dessert EVVA. Amazing."
