"We had a delicious lunch in this famous restaurant on the slopes just above Meribel. The steak was lovely, as was Chipsberg. The vegetable soup wasn't so good, but luckily I didn't order it."

"Went down to Scott's for our chalet night off, mainly to fuel up for a night out. First off, we were seated within minutes, and the staff were very friendly. We ordered drinks, and my girlfriend had a really good espresso Martini, whereas I started with a craft beer (nice to break the Amstel routine). We ate some tender and saucy chicken wings (not overly spicy, and not drowning in sauce) and some crispy onion rings to start. After that, I ordered a bacon, brie, and cranberry burger that came with a fat stack of chips and loads of salad. The burger was really well made, not at all over-seasoned, and the bacon was crispy and salty (rather than the limp, flabby stuff some places serve). The table was cleared quickly after we finished, and the bill was very reasonable, given Meribel's ever-increasing price tag. Another round of drinks to finish, and we were away. We even ended up coming back for the open mic night on Friday, which was packed, and had a lovely buzz about it. I can definitely recommend for a couple looking to dodge the 'fondue and tartiflette' options that most places seem to have."
