"Stopped by here on the way through town for a quick lunch during a road trip. Service was great, pizza was excellent and the bathrooms were clean. The slices were huge, especially for the price. Had such a good experience I stopped back here again on my way home and grabbed a pie to go."

"The moment you enter the Roger Sherman Inn you are greeted by smiling staff who seem eager to make the evening special. Nes has set an upbeat vibe here. There’s just enough of a feeling of the old world comfort of the original building (the bar area) with nice modern touches (the dining room). The kitchen knows how to create sumptuous dishes and the Foie Gras and Duck A L’Orange were spectacular. The bartender made perfect cocktails for us. JP is the orchestra leader for a wonderful team. We love the Roger Sherman."

"Elm definitely seems to be one of the go-to spots in New Canaan! It was super busy there even for a Wednesday night when we went. They have a great cocktail selection, and all of the food we had was fresh and tasty. Some of our favorites were the bacon wrapped dates and the veal. All of the menu choices were great for the summer. Because the restaurant is on the smaller side inside, it did get noisy pretty fast, but it seemed like a community-oriented spot where the locals knew each other well."

"Excellent food and very cheap prices, especially in view of the area and the proximity to the railway station. Sandwiches are packed with fresh ingredients and made for ordering. I am very impressed by an experienced New Yorker! These sandwiches are so big I usually eat half and save the rest later. Soups are also excellent, and the banana pudding is from this world! Absolutely!"

"We are locals and frequent customers in this restaurant, but last night our family has an order about approx. 45 minutes in advance for only two items placed: a few tacos and some buffalo wings. Upon arrival, the staff seemed to do nothing, and only the preparation of our order began on our arrival, although it was placed almost an hour in advance. When we waited for our order to be prepared, we noticed that the employee who made the food did not wear a mask and coughed without capturing his mouth towards our food. After all that we go home to find that our wings have no sauce on them? They were just simple wings, despite the fact that we clearly ordered buffalo wings and in fact, the only item on your menu is buffalo wing (not simple wings or other flavors), so it was very clear that the staff did not make their work right and has our food without regard to what was clearly ordered or for what on the menu. Due to the lack of proper customer care and poor hygiene practices, we will not come back or recommend other locals to order food from here if you appreciate basic hygiene practices."

"Good Pizza! I was 20, more than 65 years ago, before I had my first pizza. I was culturally deprived. For twenty years I dealt with New Canaan Pizza. I ordered what I thought of as a deluxe pizza, onions, peppers, black olives, mushrooms, and (double) sausage. Then the owner sold out and New Canaan Pizza closed but with a promise to re-open under new management. For months, I would stop to see if there was any progress toward reopening., No Joy. I tried every other pizza around. Still no joy. I gave up pizza. Finally it reopened. I was ecstatic. Ordered. Disappointed. Tried again. No joy, no pizza. Gave up pizza. Then came the pandemic. I was ordering groceries delivered and every fourth or fifth meal in. Now when ordering food in, pizza is the first choice and every third or fourth choice. So, I ordered from New Canaan Pizza. And, voila! It was deluxe pizza as I remembered it. I would order a large, eat two slices and carefully double-wrap and freeze the other six. Now, since the pandemic, there is not much to do. Every day, I spend at least twenty.minutes planning the evening meal. Last night, I planned pizza, with the left over ribs and pork tenderloin. When i went to the freezer this am I was disappointed to find no pizza. I went to Grubhub and re-submitted my last order for delivery at the cocktail hour. Boy is it good. Now, after ordering pizza from lots of places, I acknowledge that pizza is a matter of taste. Some people even like Dominoes. I recommend New Canaan Pizza. Give it a try."
