"Lovely breakfast, staff very welcoming, cafe beautifully clean and food scrumptious. There is a cabinet full of yummy cakes and a nice lunch menu. Definitely will return next time in Llanberris. Loved the carved face on the door way."

"We called in today for a quick lunch and were impressed by the very reasonable prices for good quality food. I enjoyed a ham sandwich with side salad, coleslaw and crisps for just £2.80! The daily special advertised on the blackboard was a steak baguette with mushrooms, onions, fries and salad for just six pounds. Staff were friendly, service was reasonably quick for freshly prepared food and they speak English! (Decor, tables and mats could do with a tidy)."

"Absolutely atrocious behaviour by several of the older female bar staff. I can honestly say I’ve never witnessed such an appalling display of customer service. There are some beautiful friendly little pubs in this village with delightful staff who appreciate their customers, do not waste your time at this dive pub. From reading previous reviews and from chatting to the owners of our hotel it seems I’m not the only person to receive shockingly poor service. After waiting in a queue to order drinks and a meal, I was then told I could not order food with my drinks because it was 8.01 and they stop serving food at 8. I over heard another customer expressing her frustration at this, as the gentleman just in front of us in the que had just placed a food order. Although this was frustrating, this was not even the main issue. I politely explained to the young barmaid that I did not want the drinks that had been poured, because we were going to order drinks with our meal, and we now couldn’t order a meal because it was 8.01. Most pubs and restaurants close around the area very early, and we needed to get going to find somewhere else to eat otherwise we might not have found somewhere. Whilst in the queue nobody had indicted that in a few moments food orders would stop being taken, and if they had, I would not have ordered those drinks. Moments later, several large older ladies had appeared and were almost shouting over the bar in a busy pub, ‘you can’t order drinks and not pay for them’ over and over again, intentionally creating a spectacle in front of their entire pub. They were all confused over what had been ordered and what hadn’t been ordered, but continued to be rude to me and draw attention to the situation nonetheless. These were drinks I had not even touched, and would not have ordered had they been clear to all customers waiting in the queue that at 8.01, food orders stop. Above everything, it was the sheer tone of these older women that was so appalling, and their behaviour was borderline threatening. Any person with basic customer service or managerial skills would have handled that situation much better. Much needed advice to staff and management: Learn to communicate with your customers more effectively, as it is acknowledged locally that this one of your many failures. If something goes wrong, work to understand the situation in a professional manor, instead of getting defensive like a group of wailing Karen’s. Above everything, get some much needed customer service training. You presented an awful image of yourselves not only to me, but to every customer in your pub."
