"Wonderful. such friendly and helpful staff. I stayed by my daughter when it was very busy, but they offered us a little table for 2, who were happy and very friendly in considering how busy they were. attentive staff, nice menu. we had crepe and drinks. can't fail, really well done and the coffee was excellent. beautiful room, the doors to the park left open, which was nice to watch the rain as we had our hot drinks. we will definitely be back to try the hearty menu, I advise them to keep up because it is understandable:"

"Delicious food, generous portion sizes and a super view if you sit on the outside terrace. Friendly and welcoming staff. The baguette was well filled with crab and the prawns in the sandwich were large and juicy. The sugar topped jam doughnut with cream is a tearoom special with a nice story about its conception. A lovely place to stop halfway up or down your walk on the steep cobbled village streets"

"My hubby and I have had lunch takeouts quite a few times from these lovely ladies. Very tasty, good value for money and very accommodating as hubby wanted curry n chips. He cant eat food too spicy so, guess what? With a little advanced notice, he was able to have a mild curry n chips which was amazing. I had the meatball baguette.. awesome .. go there! Do it! Eat and be amazed"

"We visited Great Torrington as part of our week in North Devon. Looking for somewhere for lunch we were recommended to go to No 37Bistro. The owner went out of his way to accommodate us , 4 adults and a dog. There was an excellent choice with various vegetarian options . Their curried parsnip soup with a cheese scone was delicious as was the stilton and mushroom quiche came with salad too. The baguette came with a choice of crisps or chips a salad included. The ham ,egg and chips was enormous with lovely home cooked type ham .Their range of cakes were very tempting and looked delicious but were too full to be tempted . The owner and his wife were extremely helpful and friendly.The prices were extremely reasonable too. We wish them well, also wished we didn't live so far away so we could visit again."

"It has been a while unfortunately since I last visited my favourite ever pub,but at last returned on Saturday to find it exactly the same , unchanged unspoilt. A truly amazing setting, the village fete was on, the green was being used for this as well as the village hall the pub was the centre of the whole thing. Full of happiness,eating great food, enjoying pefect cask ales in a truly blissful setting. Well done The Duke of York,always worth the trip, never disappoints. I will certainly be back as my wife my dog love it there to."
