"Came in today after leaving Old Chicago Pizza due to the poor customer. I forgot the managers name here at Shanes but he was amazing. He checked on us everytime he walked past us and got fresh sweet tea from the back. This place was super clean and everyone was very kind. Will definitly come back again."

"If I could give less than one star, I would. The restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived. My family and I were greeted by a friendly hostess who offered to clean one of the dirty stands for us. We decided to sit at a nearby table, so we didn't have to stand there uneasy while preparing a stand. We sat at least 10 minutes on the table before we were recognized by an employee who said our server would soon be. A few minutes later, our server took our beverage order. Then came back to take our food order. We got our food before the appetizers because our server forgets? We ordered them. My husband and I ordered a combination plate with beef, pigs and ribs. The meat was dry and did not taste fresh. The baked sweet potato was not bad. The restaurant does not seem to be in good condition. The ceiling is stained and very dusty. The restroom was dirty and from supplies. Unfortunately we were very dissatisfied with the entire experience and will not be back."

"I grew up in Columbus (for the most part) and now live in Sarasota Florida. I had to help my daughter get her car back from Ole Miss for Christmas break and decided to make a two-day road trip out of it rather than ship the car. My friend I stayed with called on the way and I told him I wanted 10 sandwiches and a Boston Butt to take back but I would miss a time they were open just due to driving times. He had it waiting for me. The next day I drove back and that is what we are having tonight. I have not had a BBQ sandwich from there in 5 years and can't wait! Gotta try it!"

"Hot chicken like the kind I would eat in Nashville! Great frits and in a cool atmosphere. Definitely my favorite place to eat in the North Market and maybe in all Columbus. Love that they let you split flavors! In any case, all recommend checking this place."

"I ordered the chili dog (vegan), so it comes with a vegan dog, vegan chili meat, and vegan cheese. They for some reason used a real hot dog, but vegan items for everything else. Please DOUBLE CHECK that you get what you ordered!!! This was the first time I ate meat in years and I’m extremely disappointed."

"First off, don't let the fact that JP's barbecue is located at the Bolton airfield deter you because it shouldn't as the food is fantastic. I got a grilled chicken sandwich and onion rings and my wife got the half slab of ribs and a couple sides. The grilled chicken was perfectly and the barbecue and Carolina gold sauces that they provide, I'm not sure what's in them, but they are delicious. The onion rings were cooked just right. Not too crispy, not soft and my wife said the ribs were the best she ever had. I'm not big on ribs for a few different reasons, but the rib meat fell right off the bone and they were tender and savory like I've never tasted before. If you were in the area and you want to try something new, give JP's a chance and enjoy the atmosphere. I'll definitely be going back and I would recommend this place to anybody"
