"Im English to start. The amount of sprouts was crazy. Sheppards pie tasted good but was small and with only a thimble of gravy (and about 30 chopped up sprouts). The bangers and mash again had next to no gravy, the bangers were tough but tasty and the mash seemed to have been replaced with sprouts."

"Had a delicious lunch with my wife. Ribbons, onion rings and some beers. Sandy was very polite and friendly waitress. Clean bathroom, lots of parking and indoor area: recommend this place at reasonable prices."

"This place gets everything right. First the building looks like a nice southern roadhouse, the interior is decorated with license plates, old americana stuff like classic Tonka trucks and farming swag and there is always old country music playing in the background. The portions are huge, the ribs fall off the bone, the sausage is delicious, the catfish is unique but fantastic. The pulled pork is tender and bursting with flavor and they have every side you could imagine. I am a huge fan of their mac n cheese, fried okra and greens. I have also heard great things about their beans. There are two drinks that pair perfect with BBQ, that is beer and sweet tea. Hanks has both of those and their sweat tea is fantastic. Since moving to FL 7 years ago I have become obsessed with BBQ. Out of all the great options in Tampa, and there are many; Holy Hog, Wholly Smokes, Mission, Jazzy's, Al's, BBQ King and Jimbo's, I would have to say Hank's is the best. Right up there, if not better than Al's in Ybor and First Choice in Brandon."

"Between myself and my wife and son we got their pulled brisket sandwich platter w/ collards and their Hog Feed aka corn pudding, a Tampa two and I believe what is called the Dirty Dog (jalapeno cheddar sausage with pulled pork and cheese on top). The food was great! Perfectly smoked meats not hiding in sauce unless you want it to, unlike some other spots. Make sure you get a cup of their Wicked Juice to wash it all down. This was our first time and we'll definitely be back!"

"What a great way to spend an early Sunday evening. My wife and I, along with our 2 daughters, enjoyed live music, a lively atmosphere, and really good food. I definitely recommend the ribs and fried green tomatoes! Everything was good, but those stood out the most. The drinks were good and strong! It was like a Nola vibe with a little TX smoked meats."

"We stumbled on this place and I am glad we stopped. The fries are good. The smoked turkey was on the dry side but still so flavorful. The sweet corn fritter bites sealed the deal! The Texas toast was grilled perfectly and with a mix of the Carolina and sweet bbq sauces, delicious."

"Stumbled on this place this weekend but it was a great find. The gentlemen who was seating and serving guests was a little flustered but he was very nice and handled everything great. It was pretty quiet for a Saturday at lunch but we didn't mind. We both ordered a cheeseburger and I got a side of Mac and cheese and my guest got fried okra. The sides were perfect!! The burgers were a bit over seasoned and greasy but not bad. I would definitely go back to try the chicken or chops that I saw the table by us get. Don't miss out on this place!"
