"A beautiful pub with the most helpful staff . My family and i came for a sunday roast in september and despite how busy the pub was the service was still excellent ; the staff went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect . The food came out perfect , would definitely recommend!"

"The manager of the pub was really rude doesn’t deal well under stress and quite frankly poor behaviour not just towards his customers but staff. I really hope for the company’s sake he is replaced soon as it’s such a lovely pub that’s been my local for years but sadly I wouldn’t want to go in there again while he is the manger. cross house is nice and the fresh field pub round the corner highly rate them. "I visited today with my family to a birthday party (18 people) what a fabulous place. I will certainly return. nothing was too much annoyed. the food and service were enormous, coworkers and manager nicola very welcome, singing together with us when they brought out the birthday cake. I can't praise the queens head enough. we look forward to a sample of our cakes for all of them."

"Wow, what a great little pub. Impromptu stop for Sunday dinner. We didn't have a booking but they went out of their way to squeeze us in. Food was really delicious, probably the best pub roast we've ever had. Highly recommended."

"Currently on our 2nd night here and it is absolutely amazing! first jarvis the manager allowed us to change the dates no problem when we were snowed in. room is incredible and large room 6. all meal times were included here during our stay (fortunately, and was all beautiful and coworkers amazing. only feedback I could think about is that I would love yogurt/fruit option at breakfast, but honestly everything is and everyone is so amazing that I lol wi back and over! thank you! nioni"

"Ate the festive spicy bohnenburger, who was on the festive menu! There was also a dedicated vegan/vegetarian menu with a fair selection. there is no vegan dessert menu, but it offered a salted caramel brownie with vegan ice. the burger was served with a sausage on the top and afteros on the side. I enjoyed it. the food tastes good, the service was good."
