"We had a group of 7 and the restaurant sat us down straight away, service was quick, excellent recommendations and good quality food. The staff were friendly, fun and professional, making the food feel upscale but reasonably priced. The location is fantastic right in the river and lots of sights to see all around. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Bend!"

"On a rainy and dull weekday evening, my son and I decided to give this wine bar a try. It was a little off putting to be asked to walk through the bar service area to get to the tables in this section. As stated by other reviews, this wine bar shares space (and kitchen, I believe) with a restaurant, Toscano. So, we entered through the Toscano door and were lead through the bar area to the Next Door space. It was nicely decorated and up scale decor. There was only one other table in use around 6pm.We ordered the Chef's board of meat and cheese items and my son asked for gluten free bread, which he did get. The chef's selection of meat and cheeses consisted of a mortadella, a salami and small squares of smoked meat. I should have paid the dollar extra and selected my own meats (I would have swapped the salami for the prosciutto ham). Don't get me wrong, the meat and the cheeses were very good and the honey/walnut and the salsa-type spread were very good and complemented each other very well. We also had a Tuna crudo and a beet salad to round out our tapas tastings. Both were good and my son took half of the beet salad home with him along with some of the sharing board. We finished off with a creme brulee, tasty and large, but more of a pudding than a creme.I also had a glass of the Waimea sauvignon blanc, a very nice New Zealand white wine.Bill total before tip was $80.This is a place to which we will return."
