"Great place for gelato in Davis. Very small place that's semi-attached to Varsity theater. Various flavors, pistachio is one of my favorites. Definitely prefer this more than most ice cream. They do have some tables outside of sit too."

"Casablanca is a must stop if you are in Davis, visiting UCDavis or on highway 80 looking for great food. We loved the platters that featured innovative salads, perfectly spiced meats falafel. Servings are generous. There is a small area to eat inside or out, but takeaway also works. I wish they had a catering menu. The Dolmas are clearly made in house and are among the best I have ever had. The family who owns Casablanca is welcoming and very flexible. Hidden away in a small mall, parking is in front which we loved. Friends had told us about Casablanca but it is a foodies secret. Davis has very few options beyond the average and student food. Casablanca is a find!"

"Fantastic local spot! We truly enjoyed stopping buy and indulging on the delicious salmon platter with a savory beer to top it off. We are from out of town so choosing a restaurant and coming out satisfied is always a gamble. The beer was refreshing with a nice froth to it. The Salmon and everything else was cooked right. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Thank you Ali Baba!"

"I've eaten here a couple times now. I had a Gyro the first time. I've had some skewers. Tried the hummus with pita. I've only ever had my food to go though. I'm not sure if that changes the quality of my review? But in general, can we all agree that gyros seem to always be sort of dry and fall apart most of the time? Flavors were good, in between chugs of water to moisten my mouth. Hummus taste was below standard. Safeway has better tasting stuff. Also, pita bread served with it was cold and I ended up hitting my own pantry for pretzel chips which In the end couldn't save the hummus. I did go for a round two a week or two later. This time I did the skewers. I just wanted to give them the benefit of a doubt before I reviewed the food officially. Skewers brought it up a star. Lamb and chicken. Also ordered the rice which was good. Hummus and pitta still took an L on the second round though. I'd eat here again, but I'd order accordingly."
