"Good food, though ordered the vege banquet and received only half of the food on the menu. Spent $180 between 4. Had to ask for vine leaves and cabbage rolls. Was asked to leave, as it was late, though we were waiting for out dessert. Not provided desserts, however asked to pay for corkage. Realised when we left when I checked the menu that they didn't include many of the items. Actually received hommus, bread, falafel, tabouli. Staff aren't caring. Manager rude. Terrible experience. We took our friends and were totally embarrassed. The one in Glebe is great. This one is horrible!"

"It's easy to understand the long wait times for a table when you've had the food at Nomad.<br/ <br/ We dropped by on a recent trip to Sydney on a busy Friday night with no booking. We were told the wait would be 45 minutes, but given we had nowhere else to go, decided to wait it out.<br/ <br/ The kingfish ceviche was easily the standout dish. Perfectly cured kingfish laced amongst silky avocado and paired with a crunchy cracker this was a great opener for the rest of the evening. The BBQ king prawns had a great salsa Verde that helped to cut through the smokiness. As expected, the smoked beef cheeks were very tender, though the fennel and capers were a little too sour for our liking.<br/ <br/ The presentation of the tiramisu was very clever. A large biscuit topper which upon cracking revealed a silky cream layer underneath. Points for creativity!!<br/ <br/ Overall, Nomad is worth a visit for those more fancier date nights!!<br/ <br/ Tastiness: 4.5/5<br/ Value: 4/5<br/ Satisfaction: 4.5/5<br/ <br/ Pictured:<br/ Sydney Rock Oysters<br/ Smoked mushroom bone marrow empanada<br/ Kingfish ceviche<br/ BBQ king prawns<br/ Smoked beef cheek<br/ Turkish coffee tiramisu"

"Old school. In 1955, the year in which Disneyland was opened and that Cola was first sold in a can. It is also the year when Sydney's first Greek cake was opened. So only think if you bite into a piece of baclava from Christopher's cake shop, bite into a piece of Sydney story. You can buy your cakes and sweets, otherwise there is a small area on the back of the store where you can sit and strip the years."

"Abdul's Lebanese restaurant has been an institution in Sydney for about 50 years. It looks like a low class takeaway joint with an attached very blandly decorated restaurant not upmarket looking at all but the food is extremely good. They have everything you could wish for in a Lebanese restaurant and the prices are very very good."

"The oldest restaurant in the Lebanese quarter, Emad's is still serving up delicious food with impeccable service (free byo but the prices are higher than their neighbours.  Platters start at for one with minimal meat and, since we all finished our meals, they must be a lot smaller than the competitors."
